UHD Graphics Driver 630 not updating

I have a Dell Inspiron 3670 and I have updated the graphics driver to version 27.20.100.8935.  In the graphics card in the computer it shows the driver is running, but ever day I receive a notice that states the driver needs to be updated.  I have reinstalled the driver several times and still get the notice to upgrade the driver.  What can I do to fix this?

Hello Bob18,

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.

It is important to mention the latest graphics driver is 31.0.101.2111. Keep in mind that it is always recommended to maintain your system up to date. My recommendation is to install the driver manually and check if the update notification stops.

Hello Jean O.

I installed driver 31.0.101.211 and checked the device manager to make sure it was loaded and it did.  The next day I got a message that the graphics driver needs to be updated.  I went into the device manager and saw the driver had changed back to driver 27.20.100.8935 that morning at startup.  What can I do to fix this?

Thank you
Bob

I do not mean to step on Jean's thread, but you can use the Microsoft wushowhide utility to block 8935.

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/53184.show-or-hide-updates-utility-fixing-automatic-installation-of-a-problematic-update-in-windows-10-version-1903.aspx

Update your driver as you have previously done.

Then, after the reboot, run the wushowhide utility, and hide 8935.

Problem solved (until Microsoft decides otherwise).
