Unplayable : EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 5 on Intel Iris Xe graphics

When I start a game of Earth Defense Force 5 on Steam, the screen flickers in the 3D field display and I can't play.
Menus and sounds are fine, but the game starts acting strangely right after it starts.
The previous game, Earth Defense 4.1, can be played without problems.
I want to know if there is a way to play Earth Defense Force 5 on iris xe.

This phenomenon is very similar to the symptoms of persona4 not working on iris xe.

Hello rinedon,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following:

1. Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.

· Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer:   https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-

· Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

· To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

2. Provide the Report for Intel® Graphics Drivers:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005848/graphics.html

3. Are you using a laptop or a desktop computer?

4. Is the issue present only on the laptop monitor or also with an external monitor? If you have a laptop.

5. Have you updated the BIOS?

Best regards,

Hello rinedon,

I would like to add that you may need to check with the device manufacturer because your GPD WIN3 is a highly customized device (like a console) and maybe better handle by the manufacturer.

Also, this issue has not been reported with Intel and the best is to use the manufacturer (GPD WIN3) drivers.

Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel.
