I am trying to update my Intel driver to the latest version. I am currently on 31.0.101.5592 and my MSI Center is showing 32.0.101.5592 as the latest version available to update to.
Unfortunately, MSI doesn't automate the process so I have to download the driver update and install manually and this is where I'm having an issue.
The folder containing the driver is a zip file so I have extracted the folder. I ran the installer as admin and it says the driver to be installed is the same version as what I currently have on my PC, which is confirmed as 31.0.101.5992 in device manager.
What do I do now? Am I correct in thinking the 'installer' application is usually the correct way to install a driver update?
Also, I tried loading the 'Gfx Download Wrapper' application and nothing happened. Have I done any damage by doing this?
I also tried loading the Window install batch file which opened a CMD and said denied and then closed and I can see the update hasn't been installed. Did I do any damage by loading this?
Finally, I have tried downloading the driver from the product information page on MSI website - https://uk.msi.com/Laptop/Thin-GF63-12VX/support?sub_product=Thin-GF63-12VE#driver and that driver on the websites shows as 32.0.101.5592 but it is actually 31.0.101.5992.
Many thanks

‘Update: MSI published the wrong version information 32.0.101.5592. The correct version file is 31.0.101.5592. They will modify the file version information on their official website page as soon as possible and publish the correct file version.’
Since I posted that update MSI have corrected their website page and the correct driver number shows.
Many thanks for your assistance.
