What driver works for Radeon RX Vega M in my nuc8i7HNK

HI Intel,

I just bought a new harddisk fo my nuc8i7HNK (windows 11 pro), but now i cannot find a driver the support the Radeon RX Vega M. The driver on your site does not work.

I have tried the manual install of the .inf file, but windows says it cannot load the driver files.

What can i do to make the radeon rx Vega M work again?

Hi Tim,

It will work, I've this drivers installed. Take care to install the Chipset Software first and reboot the NUC, before installing both graphics drivers.

This link is for other drivers for your NUC.  You will find there in addition to the Graphics Drivers, the following drivers: Management Engine Driver, ITE Tech* Consumer Infrared (CIR) Driver, LAN Driver, WiFi, BT, Audio,  USB Type C Power Delivery.

Hi @TimB1 ,

There is a real problem with the Intel NUC after transfer to Asus. Intel deleted the support and Asus is supporting only partially.

I'm attaching link for download of the three drivers:

-The Chipset Software 10.1.19376.8374 (this driver should be installed first and NUC should be rebooted)

- The DCH Graphics Driver 31.0.101.2121

- The Radeon RX Driver 23.10.01.46.

Hope this helps

Leon

Edit:

My previous message was edited with links to Asus site.

Hi Leon,

Great info, I have downloaded and installed the drivers. My 8i7HNK NUC still can't see the second monitor (won't detect it) - any pointers you could help me with? The AMD software points you to Arrange Displays - which appears to take you to the Windows 11 settings, where it will not detect the second monitor. I loaded the Radeon software to address this, but has not changed anything. Am I missing something?

Hi @Biggus

The both display should be detected in Windows Settings. Check if both cables ar OK. This is the additional information I can give you: Multiple Display Configuration Options for NUC Kits NUC8i7HNK and NUC8i7HVK

Read the para. 1.6.2.5 in the Technical Product Specification

Leon thanks for your very useful post!

I have installed AMD Radeon driver Driver Version 23.10.01.46-230628a-393589C on my 8i7HNK but when I try "Counter Strike 2" (a game on the Steam platform) it notifies me that I have out-of-date drivers and also the Adobe application "Lightroom Classic" is also intermittently crashing telling me I have old drivers...

Hi @eurohex

The driver you have installed, is the latest driver for your NUC released by Intel. This is the driver I've installed right now. However, I'm not playing games so, it is working well for me.

If you want, you may follow 8I7HNK/8I7HVK Hades Canyon "Radeon RX Vega M" Manual Driver Update Guide , download and install the latest driver released by AMD (Adrenalin 24.9.1)

Remember: You do this at your own risk

Hi Leon,

it worked like a charme. The graphic drivers are installed and they work indeed.

Thank you very much. I will run the others as well!

Thanks Leon,

you just saved my NUC as I was about to put it in retirement 😁.

I had the same situation as Tim.

Only I had to find out first the Intel Driver and then the Radeon driver.

Vise versa ist doesnt work

Hi Freddy,

I'm confused. Did it worked, the drivers installation or did not? Did you followed my instructions in my post  and here.

Is your BIOS updated to version 0070?

Hi Leon,

sorry I just see that my comment was not complete.

Yes it worked perfectly, I only had to find out that after I installed the Chipset and reboot, I first had to install the Intel driver and only after that install the Radeon driver.

The first time I installed the Radeon driver first but that will bring up a failure.

And what version of the drivers are you running?

I can get to 23.10.01.46 but not past that....

Hey there everybody: I've been following this guide as few weeks my GPU lost all of the driver due to a Windows Update or similar... Now, my drivers are up to date and everything works fine...but Photoshop.

The driver is 21 months old, so photoshop tells me it need me to update the driver to more recent version to work some stuff, such as...Camera RAW Filter. Something necessary on my photoshop can't work, even with the last updated version of the driver downloaded from the link in the guide.

I dont know what to do anymore, atm: I've been looking for hours and this stuff is slowing down my workflow 😞
