I'm running a EVGA Geforce 1060 on a Intel® Server Board S1200V3RPL, which has a PCIe x8 Gen 3 socket that i'm plugging into, but i just get random lines on the screen and the computer reboot loops endlessly.
The 1060 seems backwards compatible based on what i've read online, but i can't find anything conclusive. I've also read many times that a x8 should be ok, with minimal performance drop.
I've tested an older PCIe card (a Geforce 610) successfully and the onboard graphics works fine. I've switched the primary graphics card in the BIOs, have power plugged in and the screen is plugged into the right card, etc.
The PSU is a silver stone 500w, which should be enough power to at least boot (spec suggest 400w min PSU), i've tested without plugging in the 6pin power adapter and get a clear (i.e. not just distorted lines) message saying to plug it in, tested two separate power cables.
To summarise:
- The card itself works in another machine
- A geforce 610 works
- Primary graphics card disabled
- Power is plugged in, PSU has enough poewr
- Disabled PXE 1GbE Option ROM and PXE 10GbE Option ROM as per intel forums
Any ideas on how to get it working, or at least confirm which cards will work?

Thanks Sergio, sorry for not replying earlier.
I flashed my motherboard to the latest firmware, but then needed to reset my configuration and re-apply the steps above to get it to work.
I don't see the post screen still, but then my machine boots successfully.
Appreciate your time and help.
