When can we expect a new version of the Driver Update Utility

I have seen in a few responses to the incorrectly suggested driver update issue in Driver Update Utility that refer to a new version. When can we expect to see this?

I don't know what you're talking about - those version numbers make COMPLETE SENSE! *sigh*

The answer is: Don't expect to see a fix for this. If someone responds, all they can offer us are a few words that are best summed up as 'maybe sometime soon'.

It is depressing to see such a massively profitable monopoly unable to deliver on the basics.

There are helpful staff but basically their hands are tied.
