When will the ICH10R Chipset have support for 3TB drives?

I just purchased 2 Hitachi 3TB drives but the ICH10R wont recognize them beyond 750gb and I do want to raid them in RAID 1. Is there any hope of a fix being in the works soon or should I return them?
