LINK ANSWER : To answer your question we are currently working on Intel(R) Graphics Command Center to show a color depth option then this set would be possible in the coming releases, Therefore we recommend keeping an eye on the new releases to check it out.

Hello @kara5789

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

Just for clarification purposes, we would like to mention that Intel® Graphics does support 10-bit and 12-bit color depths (also known as deep color). However, on our current driver implementation, the color depth will be set as per the operating system (OS) configuration.

It is important to know that the Operating System, the application being viewed, and the driver will determine which is the best mode to display dynamically. The user can see the graphics settings in Windows, however, there is no way for the user to manually change these settings.

Now, back to your main concern, we would like to inform you that Intel is working on improving the Intel® Graphics Command Center application to allow users to manually select the preferred Color Depth. This change is still a work in progress; however, we can't provide an ETA nor commit it would be implemented on all current platforms. Thank you for your understanding and patience on this matter.

Note:

Normally it's possible to enable HDR (High Dynamic Range) and WCG (Wide Color Gamut) which would configure the Operating System for higher color depths by going to Windows > Display settings > Windows HD Color. If the content you're trying to view is 10-bit, switch to Full-Screen mode, and the driver will automatically switch to the higher color depth, given HDR and WCC are enabled. This is also true for most DirectX applications.

The driver will automatically set the highest possible configuration supported by the Display when all the right pieces are set in place, per example: the OS configuration, the Display's EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) configuration, the right output and cable used along with the actual content being displayed.
