I have a Lenovo Yoga 500-15IBD notebook with an Intel Core i3-5020 CPU and an integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500. I commonly use the Intel Driver and Support Assistant to update my drivers and it updated the graphics driver a few weeks agto to version 15.40 (126.96.36.19963).
Today Windows Update shows that it want's to install the following driver:
Intel Corporation - Display - 3/8/2017 12:00:00 AM - 188.8.131.5224
I´m wondering why Windows wants to install an OLDER driver version. Is something wrong with the version 184.108.40.20663???
I have installed Windows 10 Pro 1903 Build 18362.418.
Thank you and best regards,
- The latest released by Lenovo version of VGA driver for your laptop is 220.127.116.1135
- You may download it from the Lenovo Download Page: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-500-15ibd/download...
- You may also use Automatci Driver Update future, on the same download page. Intel DSA is intended for use on Intel products.
I had this issue several times with my HD 5500 powered Acer laptop over the years, i think it is a bug in Windows update.
Anyway, there is a newer driver...
