WiDi not working with 8.1

I bought an ASUS laptop back in February that had windows 8 on it. I have the Intel HD graphics 4000 card and the Intel Centrino wireless n 2230 internet adapter card. This came preinstalled with WiDi activated and I used it before the upgrade with the NetGear push2tv adapter. Except the WiDi would only work for like 40 minutes before it cut out. I upgraded to 8.1 yesterday and I went to open the WiDi software and it says my operating system is compatible with Intel WiDi. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23323 Download Center I have downloaded those two files and both files say that are not valid for my operating system. I do have Windows 8.1 X64 bit edition and the drivers are for the 64bit system

This is my same operating system specifications but with 6gbs of ram and not 8 /servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-209666-233733/450-248/Capture.PNG https://communities.intel.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-209666-233733/450-248/Capture.PNG

Any help would be appreciated.

Based on your operating system and hardware configuration the connection process is different; you will no longer need to install the Intel® WiDi software, just go to Charms, Devices, Project, Add a wireless display.

Just make sure you have Intel® HD Graphics and Intel® Proset Software installed and you may use the following guide: http://supportkb.intel.com/wireless/wireless-display/templates/selfservice/intelwidi/# portal/1026/article/5778 http://supportkb.intel.com/wireless/wireless-display/templates/selfservice/intelwidi/# portal/1026/article/5778
