Will there be a HD Graphics driver in the future that supports HDMI 2.0?

On my PC there is only an output of HDMI (HD graphs 520). I want a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 with 60 frames.

Hello HerzogZwei,

Thank you for joining the Graphics Community.

Supporting a version of HDMI is a matter related to hardware not software, the Intel® HD Graphics driver itself will not update the HDMI version. But, once installed it will recognize the version that your system includes.

Will 60Hz work with the HDMI to DP adapter? (for the resolution of 3840 x 2160).

You will need to double check with your computer manufacturer if this specif model can help to achieve the resolution in question.

What is your processor model? I would like to check the supported resolutions.

What you wrote I know. HDMI 1.4 = 3840x2160 30hz. Is it possible to make the output of HDMI work like DP?

The HDMI output cannot work like the DP output.

Can I get HDR with this adapter? Will there be a big delay? How many milliseconds?

Hello HerzogZwei,

We only support native HDR starting on Kaby Lake (7th Generation) processors if the connection is HDMI 2.0a or DP 1.3. The DisplayPort (DP) adapter that you are indicating is DP 1.2, therefore HDR won't work. More so, the DP output on your computer must be DP 1.3 as well.

For further questions on Intel's HDR support I suggest looking at the following white paper: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/graphics/HDR_Intel_Graphics_TechWhitePaper.pdf https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/graphics/HDR_Intel_Graphics_TechWhitePaper.pdf

Kindest Regards,

Ronald M.
