Hello, does anybody have any experiences with loading Windows 8.1 on laptop with Intel 945GM Express Chipset integrated graphic card ??
And the same question with desktop DELL Vostro 220s, with Intel G45/43 Express Chipset integrated graphic card ??
I would like to know if it is possible to install and run Windows 8.1 on these machines or not?
(all other prerequirements are OK, except these GPU's.... 😕

Thanks for reply, I do not have good experiences with this Assistant. Tested on 3 Dell desktops and got different results, although the desktops have the same Hw. configuration...

Hi ermess,
It is important to say that the controllers you mention can handle up to Win 7 only. Here you can check the compatibility information:

You can try installing Win 8.1 on these systems but you may find performance problems due to lack of drivers.

Thank you, this compatability chart is very usefull. I was interested in your opinions, because I would like to install Office 2013 on these machines, too. And Office 2013 has a litle higher requierements than Win 8.1. After all, I will go the Win 7 + Office 2010 way. Thanks for comments.
