With the release of Microsoft Windows 10 Creators Update*, an updated Intel® HD Graphics Driver is not required.

Existing Windows 10 Anniversary Edition Intel® HD Graphics Drivers will continue to work with Windows 10 Creators Update*.

The current Intel® HD Graphics Drivers that support Windows 10* should continue to work with Windows 10 Creators Update*.

Hi Intel,

Same problem as above mentioned.

Installed fresh windows 10 creator update x64 and latest intel HD graphics driver 20.19.15.4624 for my intel HD4600 (i5 4690K).

Graphics in CAD software are very slow (spaceclaim) for zoom/pan/select etc.

Waiting for a quality driver!

Hi Intel, I have the same problem after installation of the creators update on my ASUS N73. The laptop ran with all drivers, but last weekend it stated to install the creators update. First everything looked still working, but after a restart two video drivers weren't working: Intel HD Graphics 3000 and the Nvidia Gforce 540M. And my extra monitor connected with HDMI didn't work.

Tried to install another driver for Intel, but no luck. Reading this whole thread, the only conclusion is: why? Why aren these drivers working anymore? Since when is Microsoft deciding that hardware is outdated?

Is there a way to get the driver working again? Going back to Windows 8.1 is no option for me.

I read that a link or something could be sent by a PM?

Can I get that one too??

For the moment I rolled back to before the creators update, so everything is working ok now. But in time I will be forced by MS to update....

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ronald! Are there any plans to release a new HD 4000 driver soon? Or this issue is from Microsoft side?

Hello Ronald,

Since the Windows 10 creators update my Intel HD Graphics 4000 is not working.

I'm using a lenovo g580 laptop. And this is why I get:

The code error is the next one: 43

After looking for solutions in the lenovo webpage I tried this (with no positive effect):

- Uninstalling and reinstalling the graphic driver and making sure it is the latest version.

- Making sure that all my drivers are up-to-date

Also, sometimes when reinstalling the driver. This appears in the center of the screen and does not disappear until restarting the computer.

I don't really know what else to do, and I'm not sure if the problem is on the windows 10 side or in the intel graphic 4000 driver. From the first post here I understand that my driver should be compatible with this update or did I understand it wrong? I would appreciate any kind of help

Thank you for your time, Diego.

The Lenovo G580 notebook PC hasn't been tested for Windows 10 compatibility by Lenovo (I don't see that model on Lenovo's Win10 compatbility list and there are no specific Win10 drivers for the G580 on the Lenovo support site).

You may need to report the problem in the https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/English-Community/ct-p/Community-EN Lenovo Community forums about the G580 incompatibilities between the Intel HD Graphics 4000 and the Windows 10 Creators update. Ask the folks there in the Lenovo forums on what to do for the G580 laptop.

Agreed Ronald - Yes, one reasonably might expect the existing Intel video support drivers to continue to work equally well for the updated OS build... But do they? MOST DEFINATELY THEY DO NOT!

Oh sure, most of these updated/upgraded systems (typically upgraded from Win10, build 1607,) do still boot, and the 1703 build OS Desktop does sign-in/appear to mostly work (at least it does for me), but only at the cost penalty of a truly pitifully-poor video rendering performance user experience - which is of course something that heretofore has never been an issue (with previous Win-10 OS builds).

So who's at fault here? FWIW I think it's most likely Microsoft - since it's probably their new OS "upgrade" expecting some newly introduced video driver handling/compliancy requirements which the implementation of, has (thus far, at least,) not been required in order to achieve an adequate video performance user experience...

Can/will this truly intolerable video performance lag be resolved? I suspect we all get to "stay tuned for a while" for the answer to that question ....

I have a DELL XPS 12 laptop with Intel Graphics HD 4000 adapter, which was working fine with Windows 10. After I upgraded to the Windows 10 Creartors update version, it stopped working as it should. I have video on my laptop screen but I cannot use a 2nd screen.

This is the message I get when I hit Windows key + P. It advises to try and reinstall the graphics controller or use another video adapter.

I´ve tried installing the latest version of the driver but still no fix to the problem.

Also add that in Control Panel, video device shows error 43.

Any help would be much appreciated, otherwise I´ll have to roll back to Win 10.

Thanks,

Santiago

I have constant stuttering of windows gui after installing Creators Update. There is stuttering in games as well though there aren't any drops in FPS.

The device is Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro - with Intel HD 5300.

I have the latest Intel Hd drivers - 20.19.15.4642. Nothing helps, even rolling back to the earlier driver.

I've updated the graphic drivers to 15.46.02.4729 (Released 11/07/2017) and run the CheckLogo test and passed against Windows 10 1703 (Redstone 2).

Although the graphic driver continue to work for general purpose, if anyone using the Redstone 2 build to do the certification/compatibility purposes for Windows 10 1703 the version 15.46.02.4729 or later must be used or the Signed Driver Check/CheckLogo will be fail. The verification executable file can be found in the Windows Hardware Logo Kit from Microsoft website.

Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver would not start after Microsoft updated to Windows 10 Creator's Edition.

I am experiencing the repeating theme that I am reading in the rest of this thread. After my Dell XPS13-L22x laptop with a Intel HD Graphics 4000 updated to the Windows 10 Creator's edition the driver for the Intel HD Graphics 4000 stopped working. It will not work at all and I get the code 43 error.

I have tried all of the most recent drivers on the Intel site, allowed the Microsoft update install the most recent driver Microsoft has and even tried to revert back to the original 2013 driver from Dell. I was very thorough in removing all remnants of each driver before installing a different driver. None of the drivers work.

Ronald/Intel is there plans to update the Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver to work with the Windows Creator's edition? If so, when? I am willing to be a beta tester. I want to get this resolved asap.

Thank youRonald_Intel

Hello TedM7th,

The latest https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26813/ 15.33 driver (3rd Generation graphics) should install and work fine on Windows 10 (Creators Update) RS2. I think what you are seeing is a conflict that resulted from the actual OS update process.

Let's try with a clean driver installation by following these steps:

1. Disconnect from the Internet (so Windows Update doesn't download new drivers automatically).

2. Go to Device Manager and expand Display Adapters.

3. Right-click on Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 and click on Uninstall device.

4. Select Delete the driver software for this device

5. Click Uninstall

6. Restart the computer.

7. Go to Device Manager and expand Display Adapters.

8. Make sure the adapter is now listed as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

If you still see Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000, it means Windows automatically installed an older driver stored on your computer. If so, repeat steps 3-5.

9. Install the latest https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26813/ 15.33 driver (3rd Generation graphics) driver and restart.

10. Reconnect to the Internet.

I hope this helps.

Kindest Regards,

Ronald M.

Thank you Ronald for your time and effort. I had walked through those steps 2-3 times in the last week without success.

I did it again though following your exact steps just in case I missed something.

Thank you again for your efforts.

Warm regards,

Ted

No, unfortunately I have not been able to get it working. I went so far as to install an application, Device Remover, that not only removed the driver but also any other related Intel HD Graphics 4000 adapter files.

Based on everything I have done (many hour) I am very confident the current drivers will not work (for me).

UPDATE! with the old driver i found a way that all CAD programs work on my machine.... so > I disable the graphics driver.. open simple CAD program wich works fine with the basic windows driver > turned on automatically when disabling hd4000... then trying to open sketchUp , it wont let me as the basic driver is not strong enough... when re-enabling the HD4000 driver both keep working without freezing.... might work for some people out there....

I had the same problem. My display unable to extend to certain monitor (dual screen), unable to rotate the screen with shortcut (ctrl+alt+).

I tried to installed all the latest drivers with windows updates as well but not working also.

At last, i tried to turn off the Hyper-V feature in windows and it works finally.
