@ Yups, The Custom Resolutions is no longer a standalone application with the 15.36 drivers. It is now included in the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel
.
1. Open the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel
2. Click the Display button
3. Click Display drop down menu
4. Click Custom Resolutions ( 4th option on dropdown)

Nice to see a new driver appear. No new problems at this end, and performance seems fine.
That said, I'm going to keep mentioning the issues that the recent Intel HD cards have been demonstrating with some pre-DirectX 9 games on modern computers. Several years ago I was able to play The Operative: No One Lives Forever on a Windows XP computer with an Atom processor's internal graphics, but on my Windows 8.1 computer with an HD 4400 there are serious graphics corruption issues, and the screen actually goes black whenever certain shaders are used (such as when going underwater in the game).
I appreciate that this is a pretty old game, and not (currently) available for sale anywhere, but it's saddening that a number of older games seem to have broken compatability on the latest operating systems with your current cards when they worked perfectly with your older chips and continue to function perfectly on computers that have discrete graphics cards from other providers. It has been mentioned in several past forum posts that this is an application issue that requires a patch from the developer (which cannot happen), but this seems highly unlikely to me when it works on non-Intel HD graphics chips (including older Intel chips)...
(For more info about the No One Lives Forever issue, see the comments at the bottom of http://www.play-old-pc-games.com/2012/05/23/no-one-lives-forever/ this page.)

@ RLacey, could you please provide a list of older game titles in which you are seeing compatibility issues with Intel HD Graphics?
Thanks

@ Robert_U
The one that immediately springs to mind (because I've been replaying it) are The Operative: No One Lives Forever (commonly just called No One Lives Forever/NOLF), which seemed to work fine on my old eePC internal graphics (whichever one came with the early Atom processors) but has issues with the current Intel drivers in Windows 8 (see my link in the previous post for comments from others). There are issues with graphics corruption and odd flickering effects, as well as issues with displaying shaders properly. Ordinarily I'd ascribe this to it being an odd engine for an old game, but it's odd that it used to work fine on older internal graphics chips - I'm not quite sure at what point compatability became broken, but I used to be able to play it without any issues on my eePC.
- this post mentions some issues with Empire Earth and SimCity 4. The accompanying image showing graphics corruption is very similar to one of the issues that occurs in NOLF, with what appears to be strange graphical "tearing" (not sure of the technical term for this).
- this post mentions one of the issues with NOLF, and also Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 3.
I have a feeling I've read about some others, but I don't have the info to hand. Will keep trawling for the others. One of the things these games all share in common is that they're pre-DirectX 9 games - which I guess is a rather minor issue moving forwards, but is irritating for those of us who like to play older games on the move on a laptop, where a discrete graphics card can't be installed to work around these issues. And Empire Earth and SimCity 4 are both still available for sale from various digital distributors. The comments made in some previous posts on these forums suggest that the expectation is that game developers will produce patches for these games, but they're all old enough that said developers either no longer exist, no longer have the rights to the IP, or simply aren't interested. And, again, they used to work on Intel graphics chips.
Thanks for looking into this. I know it's not likely ever to be a high priority - clearly, improving support for modern games is more important - but some of these older games are still brilliant fun, and they're games where there's more tha enough processing power in an internal graphics chip to run them at maximum graphics settings.

As Yups said, it's the first full OpenGL 4.3 driver with 203 OpenGL extensions (12 more than previous driver) and it's also the fastest one (for OpenGL)
Waiting for a DXVA Checker fix, to see if something changed in DXVA modes.
Cinebench quality test and MadShaders problems still exist.
Unfortunately the bug with Intel GPA using Win 8.1 OS still exists too, after 7 months that was first reported.

NikosD and all, Regarding Intel GPA.
Intel has been working with various teams both inside and outside of Intel, and we now believe that we have a fix for the media metrics issue being 0 for all Intel platforms running the Windows* 8.1 OS. Our intent is to release this fix in a future version of the Intel GPA product, and we will post information about its release in the Intel GPA Support Forum (link). Unfortunately, the only workaround at this time is to use Intel GPA with Windows* 8, which does not exhibit this issue. We realize that this is not an option for some customers, and appreciate your patience until a fix is released.
Thanks

Folks remember, this is a true beta driver and was specifically released to test the GRID Autosport* game. There may be features and capabilities that are not complete with this beta that will be in the final version. Thank you for this great feedback.
@ NikosD, What CPU are you using?
Thanks
