Hello Intel community
I've got some problems regarding Vulkan support in newest drivers (.4815, but I assume it will occur in older too).
Console window said that there is some features missing in Vulkan support and Wolfenstein could not be launched at all.
Is this related to game itself (no Intel GPU support due to low performance, or missing support ATM) or Intel missed something regarding vulkan compatibility?
Or maybe game is looking for something that is not missed by Intel but just unsupported by graphic (due to software or hardware limits).
It would be nice to know what is going on, because as far I remembered I've got no troubles with newest Doom after all.
Both games are using same engine.
Even The Evil Within 2 which is using reworked engine of Doom 2016 running fine (I assume it's pure OpenGL 4.x game).
I'm looking for answer or maybe workaround to launch this game.
It would be nice to hear that Intel already working on launch driver for this game

Well @ raulmenende is also facing the same issue with game, most possibly this can be an issue with power usage or can be an issue with iGPU (Iris). You can wait for the next update of drivers not sure if that going to help you or not.

As I said power issue it can be an issue with iGPU getting not enough power when you are launching the game and as a result the system restarts by itself. Same issue happened to my one friend few months back. When he launch any game the computer restarts automatically like what happen in power cuts. And he got a GTX 960 so it's definitely not an issue with GPU but with power. Later he found out that his PSU or SMPS is real culprit over there. He replaced the PSU and boom never had any issue with restarting again.
But I can be wrong here, maybe it can be an issue with iGPU as well because I don't think the game actually supports internal GPU's but we somehow manage to play it on that. xD
P.S : The issue you are guys are reporting only happened to mini PC's & laptops. None of the desktop users has this issue so far.

Power wise i have it set to the highest performance settings as its not a laptop, so I don't think that's the issue.
I think this is the first game I've tried on this computer that hasn't worked at all, even heavy going triple A titles like Rise of the Tomb Raider and Battlefield 1 are quite playable, so I'm guessing this is a driver issue.
Are Intel looking into it?

Rise of the Tomb Raider and Battlefield 1 both games are playable in the iGPU somehow they are not developed in Vulkan API like Wolfenstein II has been developed. And the game is built on latest API of Vulkan that is only supported by latest drivers : https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27266/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-60-?product=80939 Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.60]

Are Intel looking at this issue or is it worth getting a refund?

Seems like the game has a lot of technical problems, but in this case it looks like broken Vulkan support in the Intel drivers.
Has anyone ever got a Vulkan game working on intel graphics?

We can only wait for the new drivers from intel. Latest drivers made this game run,It wasn't even launching.More updated drivers might fix our problem aswell. Other than this i dont think there is any solution for this on the whole internet for now.

It would be good to know if Intel are looking at it though, as at the moment it's unplayable, and I'm wondering if I should just hold out for a fix or get a refund.

Still waiting a response from Intel.
TBH whilst I've been fairly impressed by the newer Intel IGPs, I'm ready to jump ship because of issues like this.

Thanks for the link. I tried downloading but it said "not compatible."
Could you offer any insight as to what I should do differently?

Yes, the game is working fine with v4877 driver on my NUC6i7KYK. I did a small video, take a look

There are some graphical anomalies from some lightning sources, but I'm sure this will be fixed with the upcoming driver release.

Sorry for the late reply. Try restarting the computer and then installing those drivers. Make sure to turn off internet otherwise microsoft update will mess the driver installation.
