check if a graphics driver is compatible or not

We have a lot of intel machines(laptops and desktops) starting from ivybrdge, sandybridge to haswell, broadwell.

Our automation suite runs across 64 bit Win7,8.1 and 10.

The newer graphics Intel drivers for haswell and broadwell dont seem to install on ivybridge and sandybridge, the older drivers don't seem to install on newer ones as well.

From command line is there a way to figure out the intel platform and check if a corresponding driver is compatible or not?

Intel does not provide command lines to see what platforms are compatible with certain graphics drivers. I can provide a link for supported operating systems where you can check what Intel® Graphics Controllers are compatible with your operating systems: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034343.htm Graphics Drivers — Supported Operating Systems

Thanks for your reply

without installing the graphics driver,

Is there a wmi call which helps me to identify the generation of Intel processor and the corresponding HD Graphics version?

This level of support does not provide that kind of information. You may need to check with our developer zone.
