hi i have a intel i7 1360p running iris xe graphics. I just bought a 1080p 180 hz monitor, the acer nitro monitor, for $197 and is 27inch from officeworks. It wont let me adjust the refresh rate from 12-hz to 180hz in settings and advanced display settings. i have also tried the inbuilt acer nitro refresh rate and it dosent work. Is the intel iris xe capped at 120hz? my laptop is the lenovo yoga 7i gen 8.

To use 1080p @ 180 Hz, please connect your laptop with an USB-C/Thunderbolt > DisplayPort cable.
Examples:
- Zeskit MAYA 8K Bi-Directional USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable
- Club 3D USB Type C Cable to DP 1.4 (CAC-1557)
- Cable Matters USB-C to DisplayPort Cable - 8K Ready (201036)
- Cable Matters Premium Braided USB C to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable (201336)

The Intel Iris Xe graphics in your Lenovo Yoga 7i Gen 8 should support higher refresh rates, but limitations depend on several factors, including the display output options on your laptop and the monitor connection type.
Here are a few steps to troubleshoot:
Check Connection Type: Ensure you’re using an HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort connection (via USB-C if your laptop supports it). Lower HDMI versions may be limited to 120Hz or below, especially at 1080p.
Update Graphics Drivers: Make sure you’re using the latest Intel graphics drivers. You can update these through the Intel Driver & Support Assistant or Lenovo’s website.
Adjust Settings in Intel Graphics Command Center: Open the Intel Graphics Command Center, go to Display Settings, and try to manually set the refresh rate for the monitor.
Test a Different Cable: If possible, try a certified high-speed HDMI or DisplayPort cable to ensure bandwidth isn’t a limitation.
