intel hd graphics - lightning in Surfer doesn't work correctly in newer drivers

I have sandy bridge class intel hd graphics (celeron 887) and I am using goldensoftware surfer under Windows 8 to render some 3D surfaces from data. It uses smooth lightning on the surface and only driver which works as expected is 9.17.10.2768 which is integrated in windows 8 installation. With all newer drivers (9.17.10.2867 from windows update, or 2828 and 2857 from download site) the lightning doesn't work, surface is black. It works only with lightning disabled, but then the surface is ugly, see attached images. 1st image is smooth lightning with 2768, surface rendered correctly, 2nd image is surface with smooth lightning with 2867 (surface is black), 3rd image is surface with lightning disabled with 2867

So far there are only Microsoft Windows 8 beta graphics drivers since It has not come out officially. If you experience any issues with the beta graphics driver, it will probably be fix when the generic graphics driver comes out.

Intel® Atom™ processor Z2760 with Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator

As you can see for your graphics controller Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® HD Graphics we do not have any Windows 8 operating system drivers.However, updates for these graphics controllers may be available through Microsoft Windows Update*.
