I have fallen victim to the Windows 10 flickering screen. According to what I have read, it appears to be a driver issue.I have uninstalled and re-installed and still have the same flickering issue. I installed the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel, and it says my driver is up-to-date. I have the Intel® HD Graphics 520 controller and my processor is the Intel Core
i7-6500U 6th Gen Core Processor 2.5GHz. What can I try to stop this flickering?

Hello SStudent:
Thank you very much for joining the Intel processor community.
In order to try to stop the flickering problem, we can try to install the Intel latest graphics drivers. Since the processor you are using has the Intel® HD Graphics 520 controller, we can try the following drivers:
Beta driver 4614:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26604/Intel-Graphics-Driver-Beta-15-45-?product=88355 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26604/Intel-Graphics-Driver-Beta-15-45-?product=88355
Or driver 4590:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26563/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-45-?product=88355 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26563/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-45-?product=88355
When you use a laptop, we always recommend to use the drivers provided by the manufacturer.
What is the model of the laptop?
This is in order to look for the proper graphics drivers on the manufacturer's web site.
Remember that the Intel graphics drivers are generic, that means they may or may not work with your system.
Also, there are the "inbox" drivers, those are the drivers that get installed when you do a Windows installation or a Windows update. So, if you remove the Intel drivers and the flickering problem stops, then you can always use the laptop that way, or we can try to install the drivers provided by the manufacturer to confirm if the problem stops by using them as well.
Any further questions, please let me know.
Regards
Alberto

Hello SStudent:
We are sorry to hear the issue persists even after installing the drivers provided above.
You mentioned that if you remove the Intel drivers the flickering stops, so in this case then the best thing to do is to keep using the "inbox" drivers, not to install the Intel drivers because they might not be fully compatible with your system.
The graphics drivers provided by the manufacturer should work, and the problem should stop when installing them.
What is the model of the laptop?
In order to look for more drivers and to check the specifications of it.
Any questions, please let me know.
Regards

Hello SStudent:
You are welcome.
Thank you very much for providing that information.
Not sure if the laptop showing on the following link is the one you have, but that is the one showing when I enter the model of it. Please try the graphics drivers listed there, you will see one driver for Intel and the other one for Nvidia, please try to install both of them :
http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-15-ae100-notebook-pc/8499282/model/8949652# Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930O2 http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-15-ae100-notebook-pc/8499282/model/8949652# Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930O2
Please let us know the results of installing those drivers.
Also, if the problem persists after that, then try to install the SSU tool (System Support Utility):
You will be able to download it on the following link:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility
Once you do that, the tool will allow you to save the information as a file, so, once you save it, please also attach it to this thread, in order for us to see it.
Additionally, right click anywhere on the desktop and look for the option: Intel® HD Graphics control panel, once you open that, choose "options and support", then select "information center", and then choose where it says "file" at the bottom, you will get a text file, please attach it to this thread, so we can verify it.
Any questions, please let me know.
Regards
Alberto
