Hi all,
Having the above errors appear in Event Viewer at random times whilst using anything utilising DX12. Typically the game will freeze and Crash To Desktop. This doesn't happen under VK/=<DX11 I've already tried using DDU to perform a clean reinstall, however that hasn't worked for me. I am currently using driver version 32.0.101.6795
I am pretty sure that this isn't an issue with my GPU itself, as it behaves fine under Linux/Steam Proton!
Below is an extract from Event Viewer

Hi @grbtd,
Thank you for posting here in our community. To effectively diagnose and address the issue you're experiencing, I kindly ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help us isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action.
- Please provide the SSU log report and share it here so I can review your system's configuration.
- Could you let me know the origin of the game? Where did it come from, and where did you download it?
- Could you please share the steps you take to recreate the issue? This will help us understand the context and identify potential solutions.
- We also request that you generate a kernel or complete crash dump and share it with us for detailed analysis.
- When did the issue first occur? is it working fine before?
- Have you made any software or hardware changes to the system recently?
- What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
- Have you noticed any signs of overheating in the system?
I look forward to your response and am committed to resolving your issue promptly.
Warm regards,

Evening Randy,
I've attached the SSU log to this reply. I also have a Kernel Dump, however it is 1.8GB. How would you like this sharing? It may be worth noting I did the dump with nothing running. I can attempt to grab a dump as an application crashes, however it usually CTDs very quickly.
Essentially, from what I can gather, any DX12 accelerated application seems to crash at some point in time, completely random as to how long the application stays up, sometimes an hour or so, sometimes just a few minutes. In some cases, I am able to pass a DX11 flag, so that a game uses DX11 rather than 12, and this seems to keep it stable. This leads me to believe that it's isolated to DX12.
The GPU works great under Linux. No such crashes or anything, and Vulkan/DX11/DX9 performance under Windows is fine, and is stable. Again, just seems to be DX12.
I've attempted a clean install of not only the Driver, but Windows also. Neither have made the issue go away. Thermals seem fine, the card is happy to go up to 220+W if I want it to.
Thanks for jumping on this. I really appreciate it. Let me know if you need more from me.

Hi @grbtd,
To assist you effectively, I would like to clarify a few points.
You mentioned applications running in DX12. To ensure a focused investigation, I kindly ask you to specify the particular game or application that tends to crash under DX12. Please note that I can only investigate one issue per thread, which means focusing on one application at a time. This will allow us to concentrate on that specific issue and determine the best course of action.
Please feel free to share the crash dump via email. I will send you an email shortly after you read this thread update to facilitate the process.
Our main goal is to understand why the software is crashing in DX12 mode. Once you confirm the specific application, I can laser-focus on the issue and work towards a resolution.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. I look forward to your response.
Warm regards,
Randy T.
