Bad Performance in Tarkov and DCS World

I built a new system with a b580 card. My last system had an a770 and I had 0 issues with that card or any game I played, The b580 has been a little annoying as I have had troubles with it.

Most games have been fine, great fps, etc. But for some reason, Tarkov and DCS World are nearly unplayable at anything above potato mode. Both games I have to run low textures. Anything above low and the FPS is single digits. Most of the other settings have to be on low as well.

The only way to play either game with more than 30 fps is Tarkov I have to set it to FSR Ultra Performance, everything else off or low. In DCS World the best frames I can get is also having it set to FSR with everything else low or off. If i try to turn ANYthing on or above low, my FPS tanks to single digits.

On my a770 system I don't have either of these issues. Both games run fine with settings turned up. Same amount of RAM, same CPU.

I shouldn't have to run these game in potato mode with a card this new.

Thank you for reaching out to the community regarding your performance issue. I understand that playing games at the bare minimum settings can be frustrating. To assist you better, I have a few questions that will help us investigate the issue further.

1. Since you previously had the A770, did you check the "clean installation" box when updating the driver?
2. Can you confirm if your current driver is version 101.6559?
3. Have you tried using an older graphics driver for testing purposes?
4. Could you provide your current in-game graphics and display settings for both Tarkov and DCS World?

To gather more accurate data, I would appreciate it if you could record your FPS using the CapframeX application. Additionally, to understand your system configuration better, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. 1. This is a new computer. It has only had the B580 in it. My other system which has the same processor has the a770 in it. This is off a fresh windows install with all drivers up to date.

2 and 3. Yes, I've been on 6559 and have rolled back to to other WHQL updates to see any differences. I saw a VERY small difference on 32.0.101.6257. DCS performed slightly better, 0 difference in tarkov.

4. Here are screenshots of my current graphical settings for both games. I've been messing with the settings for 2 weeks and any variation from these settings the game's are unplayable because of how bad the FPS is.

In DCS I'm currently using MSAA 2x because on driver 6257 it works better than FSR on 6559.

Also note, the bad FPS in DCS World is in multiplayer. Singleplayer I can turn stuff up a bit, Multiplayer, everything off and as low as it can go or ungodly low FPS.

Weird, DCS seems to be running fine for me on almost max settings in 1080p

I'm running 1440p, what the card is advertised as being. I can't run less than 1440 because i have a 34" ultrawide and its pixelated garbage at 1080

I couldn't take not being able to play my games anymore. I bought a used a770. I DDU the drivers, shut the computer down, put in the a770, installed up to date drivers.

I opened Tarkov and jacked up the settings, I'm getting 100+ fps. It's definitely something with the B580.

The exact same results in DCS World. I didn't change the settings AT ALL in DCS, booted it up with the a770, 90 fps. I was getting less than 20 with the b580.

Pretty insane difference. I will update the DCS World thread with this info as well.
