Battlefield labs will crash if low latency mode "On + Boost" set when labs program run 10-15 minutes, even not enter the game, just opened the program and stayed on the homepage. If low latency mode just "On" set is OK.

Hi Blessed_Leopard,

Thank you for posting in our Community and for providing the details about the crashing issue with Battlefield Labs when using low latency mode set to "On + Boost.".

To better assist you, could you please help clarify the following:

  1. Have you noticed if this issue occurs consistently every time you run Battlefield Labs with "On + Boost" enabled, or is it intermittent?

  2. Have you tried running the program with any other graphics settings changed, such as disabling other performance-enhancing features?

  3. Could you confirm if this crash happens with other games or applications when low latency mode "On + Boost" is enabled?

  4. Are you running the latest Windows updates and chipset drivers alongside the Intel graphics driver?

  5. Would you be comfortable trying a clean reinstall of the graphics driver using Intel DDU to see if that affects the issue?

In the meantime, since you mentioned that the crash does not occur when low latency mode is set to just "On," I would recommend continuing to use that setting to maintain stability while we investigate.

Have a nice day!

Hi Von M.,

Thanks for reaching out to help. Sorry for the late reply — Outlook has been strangely blocking all emails from Intel.

Yes, after half a day of testing, the issue consistently happens every time I run Battlefield Labs with the "On + Boost" mode enabled via the "Graphics" settings. However, if I enable "On + Boost" specifically for the game through the "Profiles" settings, the problem doesn’t occur (tested multiple times, each session lasting at least 45 minutes or until a crash would normally happen).

I haven’t tried adjusting other graphics settings yet, like turning off other performance enhancement features. Most of my other settings are on AUTO.

When low latency mode is set to "On + Boost" via the "Graphics" settings, no similar crashes happen in other apps or games. For example, Battlefield 2042 runs perfectly fine with it — actually feels a lot smoother.

I’m on the latest Windows 10 with all updates and chipset drivers installed. I also clean-installed the latest Intel graphics driver (version 32.0.101.8132, WHQL certified) using the Intel DDU tool. But the original issue still persists, and now another new problem has started showing up — the two issues take turns occurring.

(By the way, my PC only has one partition — not even a D:\ drive haha.)

Battlefield Labs automatically generated some crash dump files, which I’ve attached. Hope they help. If you have any questions or need more info, just let me know. I’ll also start checking the Intel forums by myself when I have time.

Thanks again!

Hello Blessed_Leopard,

Thank you for the detailed feedback and for sharing the crash dump files. I’d like to delve deeper into the issue so we can better understand what’s happening and pinpoint the cause. To proceed, could you please confirm and provide the following:

  • The exact version of Battlefield Labs you’re running.

Additionally, I’d like to ask you to run the Intel® System Support Utility (SSU) tool. This will give us a comprehensive report of your system setup, which will greatly aid in identifying the underlying cause. Once the scan is complete, please attach the report to your reply.

We really appreciate your cooperation and the effort you’ve already put into troubleshooting this. With this additional information, we’ll be in a stronger position to move forward.

Hello Blessed_Leopard,

Thank you for your patience as we continue investigating the Battlefield Labs crashes you're experiencing when Low Latency Mode is set to "On + Boost" with your GUNNIR Intel Arc B580 Index 12G graphics card.

Current Investigation Status: I've been analyzing your crash dump files and have identified exception code 887a0005, which requires further investigation to determine the root cause of these crashes.

Your Issue Summary:

  • Battlefield Labs crashes consistently after 10-15 minutes with Low Latency Mode "On + Boost" (global setting)
  • No crashes occur with Low Latency Mode set to "On" only
  • No crashes when "On + Boost" is applied as per-game profile instead of globally
  • Other games (Battlefield 2042) run stable with "On + Boost" enabled
  • Issue persists across driver versions 32.0.101.7028 and 32.0.101.8132

Additional Information Needed: To complete my investigation, I need some additional details from you:

1. System Stability Check:

  • Is this crash issue isolated only to Battlefield Labs, or have you experienced similar crashes in other applications?
  • Does your system show any signs of overheating during these crashes? (high fan speeds, hot case, etc.)

2. Event Viewer Logs: Please provide Windows Event Viewer logs from the time of the crashes:

  • Application Logs: Windows Key + R → type "eventvwr" → Windows Logs → Application
  • System Logs: Windows Key + R → type "eventvwr" → Windows Logs → System
  • Look for entries around the time Battlefield Labs crashed and export any error or warning entries

3. Power Supply Information:

  • What is the brand and model of your power supply unit (PSU)?
  • What is the wattage rating of your PSU?

Current System Configuration Confirmed:

  • Graphics Card: GUNNIR Intel Arc B580 Index 12G
  • Driver: 32.0.101.8132 (WHQL Certified)
  • OS: Windows 10 (latest updates)
  • Game: Battlefield Labs Version 0.18.0

Once I receive the Event Viewer logs and PSU information, I'll have the complete picture needed to determine whether this is a driver-related issue, application compatibility problem, or system configuration limitation.

Please provide the requested information at your earliest convenience, and I'll continue working to resolve this Low Latency Mode crash issue.
