Hi,
i just bought a "intel arc b850" and as i tryed to install it the pc seems to run, displays no image (cant even see boot menu screens). I have tryed uninstalling Drivers by DDU and reset the bios by removeing the battery on the mainboard. Also tryed to preinstall the driver while using the gtx 950, but didnt work understandably.
Here is my build: 1,87 cm, 85 kg, medium to low fat
Here is my pc build: thermaltake berlin 630W, AMD Ryze 7 5800X, AMD x570 Mainboard, DDR4 3200mhz. Current GPU is Nvidia GTX 950.
This should genreally be compatible or not. How much does the PCI 4 of the mainboard effect the maximum performance of the gpu (once it works).
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for posting here in our community. To effectively diagnose and address the issue you're experiencing, I kindly ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help us isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action.
- Is the GPU securely seated in the PCIe slot? Have you tried reseating it to ensure a proper connection?
- Is the monitor connected to the correct output on the new GPU? Have you tried different cables or ports to rule out connection issues?
- Does the monitor work with your previous GPU (GTX 950) without any issues?
- Is the primary display output set to the PCIe slot where the Intel Arc B850 is installed?
- Have you tested the system with minimal configuration, removing non-essential components and peripherals to isolate the issue?
- Have you tried testing the Intel Arc B850 in another compatible system to determine if the issue is with the GPU itself?
- Does the GPU show any signs of physical damage or defects?
Check this article: Intel® Arc™ Graphics – Desktop Quick Start Guide
I look forward to your response and am committed to resolving your issue promptly.
Warm regards,

Hi,
I appreaciate the quick reply. Here are the awnsers to the Questions you asked:
1). GPU should be securly seated. The security pin does go up, GUP cant be pulled out, it doesnt move or looks tilted in any way.
2). I dont know what the correct output is supposed to be, but none of the 4 outputs seem to responde. The cabels work for my current Monitors. (I am using HDMI and a Displayport-DVI addapt). Also i tryed using each singular, or booth at once to no result eighter.
3). The monitors and cabels work on booth my monitors.
4). I tryed looking for that Setting in bios but didnt find it. The new GPU is also mounted in the same PCIe slot as the old one is.
5). I removed every other part that is not nessesary for running (Eg mouse, lan, keyboard, sounddevices) and also removed the harddrives, to no avail.
6). Unfourthunatly i dont have the abillity to test the GPU on another System. My old mainboard uses AM3/DDR3 and would probably cause more issues the resolve
7). The GPU shows no signs of damage from outside. Also makes no unnormal noise that would indicate deformation.
Question to the Articel: There is a table stating "AMD Ryzen™ 5000 Series Processors & AMD 500 Series motherboard" does that mean i need an AMD Motherboard as well? Not the one i got???
Another thing i notice while trying to configure the BIOS as sayed in the aritcle, is that it is very hard to enter BIOS in the first place. Most of the time the enter Menu on startup doesnt show up. If i spamclick f2 (to open it anyway even if i dont see it). The pc gets stuck in no video output as the new GPU does. Maybe the GPU cant boot windows, enters BIOS, which isnt displayed for some reason? What could be the reason that there is no BIOS displayed?
Greetings

There is no problem with the compatibility of the components you have. However, my concern is with the BIOS, as you mentioned you updated it to UEFI which is correct and outline to the article that i shared. I want to ensure that no issues occurred during the transition to UEFI boot. Please allow me to coordinate this internally and investigate further on my end. I will provide an update here once I have completed my analysis.
Warm regards,

I wanted to provide you with some additional troubleshooting steps to help resolve the display issue you're experiencing with your graphics card.
- Could you please confirm the exact model of your motherboard? The AMD x570 Mainboard has several variants, and this information will help us better assist you.
- You mentioned using an adapter. If possible, please try using a direct HDMI to HDMI cable to connect your display. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
- Please follow the steps outlined in the article "Black Screen, No Display Issue after Installing Intel® Arc Graphics Driver with AMD* Processor." This guide provides detailed instructions that may help address the problem.
- It's important to ensure that your power supply is sufficient to power the graphics card. The minimum PSU power rating for the B series is 600 W. If your current power supply is below this rating, it may be contributing to the issue. Consider upgrading to a higher wattage power supply.
For your convenience, I've included again the link to Intel® Arc™ Graphics – Desktop Quick Start Guide, which offers additional insights and setup information.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance. I'm here to help!
