Hello Timese,
Thank you for posting in the Intel Communities. We understand that you are experiencing crashing issues when playing CODE VEIN, especially when playing in the provisional government chapter.
To better assist you on this matter, we would like to ask for the graphics card model you are using. In case you have an Intel Arc Card, let us know if you have let us know if you are using a Limited Edition Card or if you are using any card from a different manufacturer: Acer, AsRock, Sparkle, or MSI.
We also would like to have more details about your system. Provide us with a system report using the Intel
- Open the application and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. By default, Intel
SSU will take you to the "Summary View." - Click on the menu where it says: "Summary" to change it to "Detailed View."
- To save your scan: click "Next"; then "Save."
Best regards,
Jean O.

Hello, yes I use Intel ArcA750, but I am not sure if it is a limited card. I updated the driver to the latest bata version 31.0.101.4972 and it still crashes. The following are screenshots of the SSU file and the Intel manager driver.

Hello Timese,
We appreciate the information provided. We understand that you are difficult to determine the exact model of your video card. However, we would like to let you know that we are currently working on a solution to the crashing issue on Code Vein in the provisional government chapter. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with any estimated time or update yet. We will proceed to look into this matter internally and post back as soon as we have more information about this matter.
Best regards,
Jean O.

I recently bought an ARC A750 as well and running into constant crashes around the Provisional Government Outskirts area in CODE VEIN. After doing various combinations of troubleshooting (from experimenting with different in-game graphics settings to verifying the game's file integrity) - I had come across a temporary solution that worked for me which involved running the game in DX12 mode.
- go to steamapps\common\CODE VEIN\CodeVein\Content\ and rename the "CriWareData" folder. I renamed mine to "CriWareData_BAK"
- go to teamapps\common\CODE VEIN\Engine\Binaries\ and rename "Win64CrashReportClient.exe". I renamed mine to "Win64CrashReportClient.exe_BAK".
- Right-click on CODE VEIN in Steam > go to Properties... > and input "-d3d12" under Launch Options.
- Launch the game and change the graphics settings. Under Advanced Settings, do Draw Distance=Near, Anti-Aliasin=None, SSAO=Off, Motion Blur=Off, VSync=On, Film Grain=Off. Everything else can be Low to Medium (results may vary).
I suspected that it had something to do with the game engine itself (or the way stuff is rendered in the game). There's a possibility it could be fixed via an Intel update. But in any case, this fixes my constant crashing issue.

Hello Timese,
We greatly appreciate your patience. I'm pleased to share that our extensive testing over the past few months indicates that the graphics driver version 31.0.101.5590 resolves the issue with CODE VEIN. We advise you to update to this driver version and inform us of the results. Please ensure to use DDU before proceeding with the update to version 31.0.101.5590.
Your feedback is valuable to us, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
