Dying Light 2 low FPS and GPU usage

Whenever I use XeSS my FPS drops, especially by 1% and 0.1%. After a while, I feel like I'm playing at 20-25 FPS. If I turn off XeSS the GPU is always used at 100% but since I cannot play the game above 60 FPS without XeSS, I have to turn on XeSS. I'm playing around with ray tracing at 1080p highest settings and turning on XeSS in balanced mode. I did not encounter any problems such as graphics degradation. Specs: Intel ARC A770 Limited Edition, Ryzen 7500F with stock fan, Flare X5 DDR5 32gb RAM, Samsung EVO 970 2T, MSI MAG A750GL 750 Watt PSU.

Hello Fedora,

Thank you for posting on the Intel communities.I will be delighted to assist you. Since you are having low performance isue while playing Dying Light 2 with XeSS enabled in your Intel® Arc™ A770 Graphics, could you please respond to the following questions so that we can better identify the issue?

  • Is the graphics card an Intel Branded Card or is it of another brand? This is to check if the issue happens to a specific edition.
  • Take screenshots of the game settings, in case we need them to replicate the issue.
  • What tool do you use to check that the game runs at 20-25 FPS?
