When trying to run Fortnite on DirectX11 with an Intel card the anticheat will crash the game due to the intel driver being "untrusted"
I have already ran DDU but it did not resolve the issue.
Reproduction Steps:
- Set "Rendering Mode" to DirectX11 in Fortnite settings
- Restart the game
- Queue for a Battle Royale match
You'll crash while connecting to the server.
I'm attaching the crash logs (zipped) and an SSU log of my device.

Hi @djmrFunnyMan,
You may follow the instructions provided in this article-Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) error: Untrusted system file - Epic Games Store Support. In my opinion, it is best to get in touch with technical support for Fortnite. Based on the article, you may need to follow certain steps provided by Microsoft. Additionally, try running the launcher as an administrator, reboot the system, and test the game.

I already followed that article before I made this report. I also used DDU to cleanly reinstall the Intel drivers.
I'm making this report here, because it's specifically an Intel driver related dll that's being detected. I will also contact Epic Games support but I believe it'd be faster for Intel to resolve this issue with them.
Hi @djmrFunnyMan,
Can we try this version. Please go ahead and install the driver version 32.0.101.6647. Let me know how it goes, please do not forget to DDU. Looking forward to your response.

I did not try your version because the issue once again stopped occuring. I'll try this when the issue starts happening again
The issue still persists and is not fixed. What else can be done?
Hi @djmrFunnyMan,
Thank you for the update. Does this mean the issue is resolved? Please let me know if you still need further assistance or if it's okay to temporarily close this ticket for now. Remember, you can always submit another ticket if you need further help in the future.

Well it just means the issue happens intermittently so I can't reproduce it consistently.
I found other intel arc users have run into the same issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/1lbj09o/fortnite_crash_untrusted_file_by_eac/
Hi @djmrFunnyMan,
I will begin investigating the issue and attempt to replicate it on our end. I'll post an update here or notify you directly once there are any developments. If I need further details, I'll reach out to you here. I appreciate your patience as I work on this matter.

I would like to add this is the ONLY current solution.
Open Epic Games Launcher > Library > Three Dots (...) Next to Fortnite > Manage > Enable Launcher Options > Type -d3d12
This forces the game to run DirectX12 which won't crash, but the performance is utterly horrible and not the same as performance mode which gives me consistent 144 FPS. Even with low settings, it is not consistent.
I just wanted to use performance mode since my frames were more smoother there.
Thank you for sharing your recommendation @teep77 .
@djmrFunnyMan, you may try following these suggestions while we continue investigating the issue. Please note that while this approach may work, we are also testing the performance as mentioned by @teep77 .
