I just bought a Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9I laptop with an Intel i5 1245HX, Intel Arc A530m, 16GB RAM 4800mhz, and using the latest Intel driver version 32.0.101.5971. When I use the laptop to play Genshin Impact, I often experience a sudden FPS drop to 24fps, I have tried lowering the graphics to the lowest and it still happens. and when the FPS drop occurs, to return the FPS to 60fps and the GPU usega back to normal, you can pause the game and then resume it again.

Hello Slotgaco,
To assist you effectively and resolve your issue, I need some additional information. Kindly provide answers to the following questions:
- Have you monitored the temperatures of your CPU and GPU during gameplay?
- Are there any background applications running that might be consuming resources?
- What power plan are you using on your laptop? Ensure it’s set to “High Performance” rather than “Balanced” or “Power Saver.”
- Have you tried adjusting specific game settings?
- Besides the Intel driver, have you checked for any updates from Lenovo for your laptop’s BIOS or other system drivers?
In addition, kindly run Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* this will help me isolate the issue

- Have you monitored the temperatures of your CPU and GPU during gameplay?
- Are there any background applications running that might be consuming resources?
MSI afterburner, Steam, Spotify
- What power plan are you using on your laptop? Ensure it’s set to “High Performance” rather than “Balanced” or “Power Saver.”
I use Balanced on windows power plan and Balance thermal mode on lenovo vantage. I have tried using High Performance on the Windows power plan and the results are the same.
- Have you tried adjusting specific game settings?
Medium settings 1080p (default settings from the game)
- Besides the Intel driver, have you checked for any updates from Lenovo for your laptop’s BIOS or other system drivers?
I have used the latest lenovo bios and windows 11 version 23h2 and update intel arc driver to 32.0.101.5972 and the issue still occurs

earlier I uninstalled the gpu driver with DDU and I re-downloaded the driver via windows update and I got driver version 31.0.101.4679. In this driver version to play genshin impact for 2 hours on very high settings there was no fps drop problem at all with 100% gpu load but when I used this driver version to continue my work editing video documentation for campus events using adobe premier pro 2024 with openCL project settings it became lag when previewing the video and sometimes the application crashed.

I have updated the gpu driver using version 32.0.101.5972 for the problem I experienced earlier in premier pro 2024 it has been resolved but for performance in genshin impact it still drops fps with 100% gpu load.

Could you please follow the steps in this article and let me know if it resolves the issue? Please note that Intel has only validated and tested the game Genshin Impact on Intel Iris Xe graphics.
