Hi there, does it make sense to Use the following config :
Second Monitor attached to iGPU (HDMI/Intel i5 12400) and first to ARC770LE (TP) ?
Does it accelerate the ARC770 for more FPS or relieve the ARC770 workload ?
Any benifits from such a config ?

Hi Radbod,
Thank you for creating a thread in Intel Communities.
You have a great idea for a setup here.
To answer your question accurately, it would really help us if we can get more information about your system. Please download and run our Intel® System Support Utility from this page. To run it, please press "Scan". After the scan is finished, click next and there will be a save button, giving you an option to save the logs to a text file, please do so and attach the file on your reply. You can refer to How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows* for instructions.

Hi Radbod,
Thank you for waiting for our update.
We need the time to consolidate our findings to answer the compelling question that you posted. We checked this as quickly as possible, to provide you a prompt answer.
Using a dual-monitor setup where the second monitor is connected to the integrated GPU (iGPU) of an Intel i5-12400 and the primary monitor is connected to a dedicated GPU like the ARC770LE can have several benefits:
1. Reduced Workload on Dedicated/Discrete GPU: By offloading tasks that are not graphically intensive to the iGPU, you can potentially free up resources on the dedicated GPU (ARC770LE), which may result in better performance, particularly in gaming or other GPU-intensive applications.
2. Improved System Efficiency: Utilizing the iGPU for secondary tasks such as web browsing or office applications can lead to a more power-efficient system operation, as the iGPU typically consumes less power than a dedicated GPU.
3. Flexibility in Usage: Having separate GPUs handle different monitors can offer flexibility in managing tasks. For example, you could assign certain applications to run on the iGPU to ensure they don't interfere with the performance of applications running on the dedicated GPU.
However, it's important to note that the actual performance gain from such a configuration can vary. In some cases, the improvement might be marginal and not noticeable. Additionally, if the iGPU is used for tasks that are more CPU-bound, it could place a higher load on the CPU, which might affect overall system performance.
In summary, while there can be benefits to the configuration you're considering, the extent to which the ARC770LE's workload is relieved and the potential increase in FPS will depend on the specific tasks you're running and how well the system manages the distribution of work between the iGPU and the dedicated GPU.

We hope that you found our answers above helpful.
