While playing AAA games , the GPU power consumption drops later the GPU clock drops to 300 MHZ and this is frequent in every 2-3 min intervals it drops & later after a minute it picks up to 160W power consumption & 2000Mhz gpu clock

I'm also having the same issue. Game runs well for few minutes and then stuck at 300Mhz for 15 to 30 secs its really annoying.

If anyone is having any solution, please let us know!

Hey there,

I tried to contacting the Arc support team but them seems busy solving others problem or giving irrelevant solutions and leave our thread. So, I figure out the issue. Its related to GPU temperature, when ARC GPU hits 90° celsius it underclocked itself to 300MHz to lower the temperature. For more information regarding this issue you can contact me on <EMAIL REMOVED>

Hello Pradhanv1,

We are sorry for the late reply. We are experiencing an unforeseen issue with the Community that did not warn us of a batch of new threads. We are answering them as soon as possible.

Regarding the issue reported, we want to inform you that the information provided by Beuniquer is correct that this is most likely the temperature as the card throttles when reaching 90 C, so can you confirm if any overclocking was done on the card using Arc Control or similar tool? If so, revert to default settings and make sure ReBar is enabled.

Also, let us know the common settings you use in the games, for example, resolution, quality level, etc.

Finally, we would like to request an Intel® Graphics Command Center (IGCC) report:

  • Open the Intel Graphics Command Center
  • Navigate to the Support tab
  • Select System Diagnostic
  • Click Generate Report
  • Select Save and name the output file.

Best regards,
