Hi @IcyFrost,

Thank you for posting here in our community. To effectively diagnose and address the issue you're experiencing, I kindly ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help us isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action.

  • Please provide the SSU log report and share it here so I can review your system's configuration.
  • Could you let me know the origin of the game? Where did it come from, and where did you download it?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes to the system recently?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
  • Have you noticed any signs of overheating in the system?
  • Is it working fine before?
  • Are there any error messages or codes displayed when you attempt to launch Star Wars?

I look forward to your response and am committed to resolving your issue promptly.

Warm regards,

1.  Here.

2. These games were developed by EA Motive, Ea DICE and was published by Ea from 2015, 2017 and 2020.

3. No, this laptop was bought yesterday.

4. For Battlefront and battlefront 2, I tried reinstalling the latest drivers again and the error message still appear and didn't solve the Keyboard and mouse input for Battlefront. For Squadrons, I tried reinstalling the game, verify the Integrity files and using dGPU only and it didn't launch.

5. The error messages were immediate, and Squadrons' launch also.

6. For Battlefront and Battlefront 2 there were error message about using the outdated drivers even when 32.0.101.6874 is the latest. while for Squadrons there's no error message at all after crash launch.

I hope you find this information helpful and solve these efficiently.

Hi @IcyFrost,

To assist you effectively, I need to collect the complete SSU log report to review the system information. Please follow the instructions in this article-How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows* to save the logs as a file and share them here. Additionally, could you provide the download link for the game?

To clarify, are you using an EA account/launcher or a Steam account to launch the game? Please describe how you were able to reproduce the issue so I can understand how it first occurred. Since you've played this game before, I assume you're using a launcher. However, to be certain, can you confirm that you are not launching the game using its standalone application? Most Star Wars games, such as Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Wars Battlefront II, require either the EA launcher or Steam to run. These launchers manage updates, patches, and other necessary files for the game to function properly. Launching the game through a standalone application without a launcher is generally not possible due to these dependencies.

If you encounter issues with the launcher, I can provide some troubleshooting steps, but I need to confirm how you launched the game to tailor the advice accordingly.

Looking forward to your response.

Warm regards,

The SSU Log was provided in a Screenshot earlier. Please check if you haven't already.

When I launch the Game, Both Star Wars Battlefront (2015) and Battlefront 2 (2017) were all using the same EA Launcher. But, Star Wars: Squadrons was using Easy Anti-Cheat Launcher.

Both Battlefront 2015 and Battlefront 2 2017 launch properly everytime, but Battlefront (2015) disabled the Keyboard and mouse inputs, forcing me to use a Controller. However, for Battlefront 2 (2017) at Launching the game, the Game only mentions the outdated Drivers when I was using the latest and plays well. For Star Wars: Squadrons. I didn't use an EA Launcher when I bought it last year and only was using Steam.

Hi @IcyFrost,

Please note that due to system limitations, I can only investigate one game title per thread. Based on your description, we are facing three different issues. Let's start with Star Wars: Squadrons, if that's okay with you. I will begin investigating this issue on my end and attempt to replicate it. Could you confirm you downloaded the game here - STAR WARS™: Squadrons on Steam ? Additionally, for the SSU log report, I need the full file to get a comprehensive overview of your system information, even though you've provided a screenshot. Instructions for generating the SSU log are included in the article I shared.

For the other issues, please create a separate thread for each game and describe the issues in detail. This will help us assist you more effectively with any hardware and driver concerns during gameplay.

Warm regards,

Update on trouble Shooting:

I tried Uninstall and Reinstalling the EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) but no progress. I tried making the Application Launcher run in an administrator but again, nothing worked. So, in the last-ditch effort, I Tried Uninstall and Reinstalling Star Wars: Squadrons and Nothing work.

The A530M was tested with 32.0.101.6874 Drivers with Intel Graphics Command Center >> System >> Power >> Plugged in at Maximum Performance.

For Intel Graphics Software, in Graphics settings. the Sync was used Smooth Sync. And with Low Latency at On + boost.

Troubleshooting update:

I finally manage to launch the game by repairing EAC through browsing local files. However, further testing will make sure that this is reliable and can launch again and again without problems.

Update:

The EAC Repair sometimes work, but not always reliable and also, during the testing. the A530M somehow perform the same as the Intel Arc iGPU, but that issue will be in another thread for the time.

Hi @IcyFrost,

Thank you for the updates. It seems the issue is primarily related to the launcher rather than GPU optimization. Upon reviewing the logs, the only update you might consider is the BIOS, as it was last updated last year. Please check Lenovo support for any available BIOS updates, as this might completely help resolve the issue. Additionally, you may want to reach out to EA support regarding this occurrence.

Since the game is currently working, does this indicate that the issue is resolved? If you still require further assistance from us, please let us know, and we can conduct additional testing for root cause analysis. I appreciate your patience and cooperation.

I would like to say yes. However, the omly problem about the game is only the launch application. So, I tested other GPUs (Ex. RTX 3050, 2050, 4050, 4060, etc) all of them Launch. And I don't know why. I may Consider trying to update the Bios.

Update on Troubleshooting:

I manage to update the Bios, however again there is none. So, I suspect it's either the Game Application launch or the A530M itself. Further analysis will be continued.

Hi @IcyFrost,

Could you please provide a bit more detail about the issue you're encountering? Specifically, we would like to know:

  1. Does the game fail to open entirely, or does it launch and then crash immediately?
  2. Are there any specific actions you take before the crash occurs, or does it happen right after attempting to start the game?
  3. Although you mentioned there is no error message, are there any other indicators or behaviors (such as a brief loading screen) before the crash?

Your feedback will help us replicate the issue and work towards a solution more effectively. Once we have this information, we can guide you through the next steps .

Hello, Randy,
1. The Game does launch, but it crashes right after loading.
2. No, I just simply click Play when I first play.
3. There is a loading Screen of EAC briefly before Crashing down.

I hope this information can make things faster as of matter of time before this can be resolved.
