This is an update to the previous thread Intel Arc A750 high CPU usage on Ryzen 3 3100 .
Hello, previously I have reported about high CPU usage towards Genshin Impact using the Intel ARC A750. I have fitted Deepcool AG400 Plus for my Ryzen 3 3100 to keep it between 40-60 degrees Celcius. I have also replaced the old 8GB RAM with 2x 16GB 3200mhz HyperX Fury RAM.
Genshin Impact still uses all of my CPU resources when using the Intel Arc A750. Stutters often, 1-5 seconds of freezing. It seems that this occurs specifically for Ryzen 3 3100.
PC Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 3 3100
GPU: Intel ARC A750
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB 3200mhz (2x)
Motherboard: Gigabyte A320M-S2H V2

Hello Neptune,
Thank you for posting on the Intel
To have a better understanding of the situation, please answer the following questions:
- I see you attached the SSU on the previous thread, but in order to have the most updated details of your system, download, run, save and attach the report for the following tool Intel® System Support Utility for Windows (SSU), you can find the steps on the link How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows.

Hello, here's the updated details of my system.
Also I've tried the game with both XMP on and off, no difference. I tried the other game made by miHoyo (Honkai: Star Rail) and it worked fine. With Genshin Impact the CPU usage just really skyrockets for this specific CPU.

Hello Neptune,
Thank you for your response, it has been really helpful.
Please answer the following questions and let me know the results:
- What is the power supply make and model? I was not able to find it in the previous thread.
- Previously we recommended performing a clean installation of the Operating System. Did you complete this step? If not, you can contact Microsoft for guidance.

My power supply is Corsair CV550
I did once last year doing a clean installation but now I have important files and apps I need to keep so I'm going to look for a way to safely install a fresh new install of Windows 10 for the NVMe drive while also cleaning the old Windows 10 from my SATA SSD.

Hello! Sorry for the late response, I learned some things first to safely keep my important files. I installed a full clean installation of latest Windows 10 Home via USB in my NVMe storage during midnight and moved my important files to the NVMe before doing a full clean on my SATA SSD and putting back the important files there. I have the games and the OS in my NVMe because I've redownloaded them.
The reinstallation of Windows 10 fixed the problem and there are only stutters once in a while but the game is playable now. It fixed the high CPU usage. I am wondering what was the cause of it and when to reinstall the OS again should the same issue happen again or something similar. Genshin Impact now runs at full 60 fps with 20% to 40% CPU usage while the GPU usage is around 50%. Thank you for the help on troubleshooting this problem!

Hello Neptune,
Thank you for your response.
Happy to hear that, the reason why the Windows clean installation fixed it probably is because a file was corrupted.
Let me know if you need further assistance with the stutter issue, and I will be more than glad to help you.

Hello everything's alright now, although I have a question about the power consumption.
As instructed I turned on the maximum power saving in the power plan and turned on L1 ASPM in the bios which significantly lowered the power consumption of the Intel ARC. However simple things like joining a zoom class which only bumps up the usage of the GPU to 2-3% however the power consumption of GPU rises up to 40-60W. Is there a fix to this? Normally other games just consumes about the same power with just 50-60% usage but a normal video call would bump it up to the same watts without really using the GPU much.
