Intel driver software

Has anyone got issues with the intel graphics software causing the cpu to never be on 0-1% usage. I noticed that this graphics driver software sips CPU resources at idle. Plus if u dont leave it on startup your fan curves are not remembered because intel is too stupid to implement a fan curve by default on your GPU at let it idle at 50C.

This makes me cringe

Hello primalpancake92,

Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.

For me to further check this, please help provide the following details:

  1. What is the model of your Graphics controller?
  2. What is the brand and model of your system if you are using a laptop?
  3. What is the model of your processor?
  4. Can you share screenshots or video of the issue?

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Just run the intel graphics driver software and on idle it will send out pings to request for updates on checking the driver version without even stopping the process on idle. I uninstalled it and it fixed the problem. Its your software. Are there are any resource leaks too?

Thank you for the update.

The software's behavior may be different on different machine or this maybe an issue. That is why I am trying to gather more details and also if you can share screenshots or videos that will help me investigate the issue further. I will appreciate that.

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

It was not resolved as I updated back into windows 24h2. It seems to be windows 24h2 somehow created a new instance of the WMI host provider process and that seems to repeat this issue once again. So that indicates to me that Microsoft is making poor strides in helping Intel get the best performance on the later windows OS. Please reach out to MS and get something resolved.
