Hi Randy,
as requested - I am opening a new ticket.
Summary:
Currently used Intel drivers: 32.0.101.6559 - issue persisted with other driver versions as well (any driver update since mid december 2024)
Game: Escape from Tarkov - battlestate Game Launcher
Issue Occurence: PvE Mode in EFT - single player slightly less fps drops however still persistent // PvE Mode Multiplayer (1-3players) consistent fps drops with extreme lags even on low settings
-----------------
I'm experiencing the same issues as other users with extreme lags (from 100fps to 14fps within seconds) while playing EFT.
I recently assembled and set up a new desktop without any previous video cards (dedicated) installed. Consequently, I'm wondering if the DDU tool would be beneficial in this situation.
My PC build consists of an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D, an MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK mainboard, and an ACR B580. Please find attached my SSU file.
I've done quite extensive research and looked into topics like CPU cache size. My CPU should be sufficient with 96 MB of cache.
Hence, I am very curious and still hopeful that a driver update could fix the issue, as the game is especially unplayable in PvE mode with other players.
Thank you for looking into it.
Best, Björn

Hello Wave1,
Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.
I understand that you're experiencing performance issues while playing Escape from Tarkov. I appreciate all the information that you shared so far and I'd like to get more for me to investigate further.
1. Is the issue isolated to this game?
2. Was this working fine before?
3. Please gather CapFrame data and ensure you play the game for at least 5 minutes
4. Try to use DDU then install the latest driver 32.0.101.6559
I look forward to your response.
Best regards,

Hi Jed,
Thank you very much for taking a look at my issue.
In response to your questions:
1. Other games such as Flight Simulator and World of Warships run very smoothly on the new system, even on higher quality settings.
2. With the same graphic settings (low), it performs more smoothly on my gaming laptop (i7-8750H) with an older mobile Geforce RTX 2060 6GB. I expected significantly better performance with a newer GPU that has more RAM and a faster CPU.
3. I have already installed it. Do I understand correctly that you would like to capture CapFrame data for at least 5 minutes?
4. Despite the new setup, is your suggestion to reinstall the driver that I currently have installed? If so, I will give it a try over the weekend. I will provide the CapFrame data first.
I appreciate your help.
Best regards,
Björn

Hi Jed,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Here’s a quick update on my current situation:
Before using the DDU Tool, Capframe data showed severe FPS drops as low as 13 FPS, even on low graphic settings, making EFT unplayable. That night, I decided to use the DDU Tool for a fresh install. The next day, I was pleasantly surprised to experience a consistent 70 FPS+ on low settings. I’ll be playing PvE with friends tomorrow and will try to increase the graphic settings to see how it goes. I’ll report back soon.
Fingers crossed, the DDU Tool and clean reinstall did the trick. For anyone interested in using the DDU Tool, here’s the guide I followed: Don't Install Your Intel ARC B580 Graphics Card Until You Watch This - YouTube

Hi Jed,
Apologies for the delayed response.
I just wrapped up another Multiplayer PvE session, and it seems the clean driver re-install has resolved the main issue of "EFT unplayable due to severe FPS drops." However, I can still only push the settings to medium, which is a bit disappointing given that this is a brand-new graphics card with 5 GB more memory than my six-year-old one.
Do you have any other suggestions—perhaps something specific to EFT settings?
It could just be an issue inherent to EFT, but I’ll continue experimenting with various configurations to optimize the settings as much as possible.
Best regards, Björn
