At 1440p it's 60hz, but when I switch to 100hz the resolution changes to 800x600.

Monitor: 27” LG QHD IPS 27U631A-B (Max: 1440p @ 100hz)

GPU: Acer Intel Arc B580 12GB (Drivers are up to date)

Other PC info: Ryzen 7 7700, 64GB ram, windows 11 is up to date.

Sounds like there is a bottleneck. I would start by making sure you have a good quality (HDMI 2.0+/DP 1.4+) video cable (hint: most cables that come with monitors are **bleep**).

Hope this helps,

... it usually points to a compatibility or driver limitation between the GPU, monitor, and the selected refresh rate. Use a DisplayPort cable (preferably version 1.4 or higher) if possible, as HDMI might have limitations with certain resolutions and refresh rates or try manually setting the resolution to 2560x1440 after selecting 100Hz in the advanced display settings.
