Hi everyone,
I reacently got NUC12SNKi72 and noticed a bunh of issues. I am sure this is not a faulty unit but more of a software issue.
Let me start with the problems and one of them is related to Arc A770M
- Windows test - While installing Windows 11 the machines network devices are not automatically recognised and i had to load the LAN driver like I am nack in 2009. When I finally managed to setup a system, I have a feeling like its slowed than usual. I have 32GB of Crucial DDR4 + Crucial 1 TB P5 Plus. This should be far from slow and I did the testing. Components are fine. I've also disabled BitLocker that is auto-enabled in Windows 11 22H2. System still fels slow. I have not even tried to install Windows 10 as I do not own this OS.
All drivers and BIOS are up to date and I havent changd anything in the BIOS. It is set to factory defaults as it was right out of the box. - Linux test - I also tried Ubuntu 24.04 and it runs super fast. Now the only complain that I have whne it comes to Linux is that other much better distros do not work and that is sad, especialy in era where Valve is trying to make linux the main place for gaming.
- Some games seems to be crashing on A770M - Red Dead Redemption 2 (default settings), Wo Long Dynasty (default settings), Starfield - gliches nad broken texures (now i know its not perfect yet so I give it a pass). I have tested games with the latest 4887 and two previous drivers. Issue remains. I am yet to test games such as League of Legends, God of War, Paragon, Predacessor and some DX12 titles.
- Intel ARC Control - There are no tweaking option for this GPU verson and I don't understand why. I cant undervolt or do anything with it. Center is basically useless except for overlay to show how GPU works and the temps. It also does't find new drivers even if the are avialable so I have to occasionaly check the website. I had to manually update to 4900.
- Hardware - now i do hear some kind of coil wine while using windows. This was not the case while i was using linux. Not sure what is this related to and its annoying. It could be my mouse. I had similar issues in the past with my custom build PCs. Overall temps, utilizasion, etc. on my unit are flawless. Just need some help fixing mentioned issues if there is any fix at the moment.
- Dirver assistant - for some reason this application doesnt find all the drivers, especially for GPU. I have also noticed that it only finds wifi and bt drivers.
An information, suggestion on this unit would be helpful as I really like the device. This is a never revision as it has smaller power adapter from Chicony.

Hi Andres,
Sorry, I did not reply. I was really busy. Well, I did manage to partially solve the issue and RDR2 is working now. Only benchmark fails and I still haven't encountered any issues while playing the game.
The only game that I currently have issue with is WoLong that crashes if I swap any equipment in the inventory. I've tested this with and without XeSS. If you look at the performance, its fine, but game is freezing but does not report fps drop.
I have also noticed that Arc center automatic updates do not work.
I also managed to resolve OS slowness issue. It is related to Windows 11

Hello Magnisus,
Thank you for your response and for keeping me informed.
I see you mentioned that you partially solved the issue and RDR2 is working now. Only benchmark fails and you still haven't encountered any issues while playing the game. What do you mean by benchmark fails? Can you provide more information about it? I would like to know if you still need help with RDR2 and if the benchmark issue is related to this game as well.
Also, I see you said you are having crashes with WoLong, as recommended previously, for this issue, and the automatic Intel® Arc™ Control updates issue, please open a new thread to help in the best way, and keep all threads organized.
