OpenGL on Arc GPU

Hi,

First of all I am using the latest drivers available. I always do clean driver installations using DDU each time new drivers are up to date.

The game is Minecraft and specifically 1.7.10 version. The game runs well but not shaders overall. I checked the latest post was about that you had your GPU support from 1.19 version, but I am not sure if this was fixed after more than half a year. Newer version works well with shaders but not older ones. So it seems that OpenGL drivers are still weak.

Here is my Intel SSU report of my system see below.

To reproduce the issue just download any shader for 1.7.10 version and turn them on. You will either have black screen or 1 bit color depending on where you move your mouse.

Things are better in minecraft project 1.7.10 where 3D models are used, but I noticed lots of artifacts. The friend who is a programmer says it is an issue with shader code that Arc GPU doesn't support.

Key issues (Vanilla + Shaders):
- The game just shows no picture, sometimes different colours in 1 bit.

Key issues (Minecraft project):
- Artifacts on 3D models (shader code).
- Very low perfomance. The testing shows that it is because of 3D models.
- Crashes on occasion without popping any error.

Hello he1ntz_ua,

Thank you for posting once again in the Intel Communities. We see that you are reporting a problem when using shaders in the old version of Minecraft. We will proceed to assist you in solving this matter.

We would like to let you know that you mentioned that the issue is when you use Shaders, and external game add-ons to improve or change the game visuals. We would like to confirm if the game works fine when using the default game version without any modification. Let us know if you experience a similar issue with the vanilla game and no added shader.

Best regards

Hello he1ntz_ua,

Since you have confirmed that the game without any shaders or mods works fine, our recommendation is to pass the feedback to the shaders/mod developers for further assistance on this matter. If they determine that the issue is related to the graphics driver, we will continue assisting you.

Well, as I said he told me that this is due to drivers and GPU shader support.

Hello he1ntz_ua,

We understand that your friend suggested that the issue might be related to the drivers and GPU shader support. However, our recommendation remains the same, and you should share this feedback with the shaders/mod developer for further assistance. They can take a deeper look and confirm if the issue is indeed related to the graphics driver. If they determine that the issue is related to the graphics adapter, they can submit a thread directly in the Game Developer Program Forums: Developing Games on Intel Graphics or IGCIT GitHub Support. This way, we can work together to resolve the issue.

Best regards

Hello he1ntz_ua,

Since you have agreed to contact the shader/mod developer, and there are no other questions on your end, we will proceed to close this thread. If you need further assistance, you should open a new thread, as this one will no longer be monitored.

Best regards
