Star Wars battlefield two artefacts appearing in the game

When playing Star Wars battlefield two with my Arc B580. I’m getting artefacts appearing in the game with certain lighting effects in the game. The artefacts appear as hundreds of small square boxes dancing around the screen.. other than the artefacts, the game runs stability. I’m running all latest drivers and updates. This is the only game I’m having issues with. All other games run normally.

I7-14700

  • Please provide the SSU log report and share it here so I can review your system's configuration. 
  • What are the current graphics settings in the game? (kindly provide screenshots)
  •  Is the game fully updated to the latest version?
  • When did the issue first occur? 
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes to the system recently? 
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? 
  • Have you noticed any signs of overheating in the system? 
  • Which digital distribution platform did you obtain the game(e.g., Steam, Origin, Epic Games Store)?
  •  Could you please provide screenshots or a video recording of the graphics artifacts you are encountering?

Good evening. Star Wars Battle Front 2
I’ll answer as many questions as I can.
I play via Steam and the game is fully updated. I’ve had graphic issue with this game since swapping to the B580. I had a geforce RTX And that ran with out issues,Before going over to the B580. I’ve tried running the game at different screen resolution. The issue appears mostly on in door parts of the game and the menus. I don’t think it’s heat related as my temperatures are good. I have a well ventilated case and I don’t over clock. I will post more when I get a chance.  Here’s a picture of the issue Thanks

Hi @Starlight , 

  

To help isolate the issue, could you please try using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to remove any remaining drivers from your previous graphics card? After that, reinstall the latest graphics driver for your current setup. This process can help determine if the graphics corruption is due to driver conflicts.

I strongly suggest reaching out to your motherboard manufacturer's support team for assistance in updating your BIOS firmware to the latest microcode (0x12F) and ensuring that ReBar is enabled in the BIOS setup. If the issue continues, please provide an updated SSU log file (.txt) so I can conduct further investigation.

Thank you for your reply. I can confirm rebar is enabled.

The only newer bios is a beta version and I’m not really happy running beta bios. Once a non beta version is released I will install that.

I had a AMD gpu and I’ve installed that card for a test, and the issues have gone and game is now working normally. Graphics are now normal. I think I will keep this card in my system as it is now working. Thanks

Thank you for the update. It appears that the system has stabilized when using the third-party graphics card.

Given that we don’t have access to the specific card in question for further testing, I’ll pause the troubleshooting for now.

 

Please let me know if you’d still like to continue investigating the B580, or if you prefer to revisit this at a later time. You’re also welcome to submit a new ticket anytime if you wish to resume the investigation.

 

I also understand your concerns about not using the beta BIOS version thank you for sharing your insights.

Thanks for your help. I’m going to stick with the 3rd party card as I can run Stars wars Battlefront 2 without issues now. The B580 is back in its box for now. I may try again at a later date, or use it with another build at a later date time. Hopefully as the drivers improve this issue I experienced will get solved.
