I was playing Battlefront 2 recently and have been experiencing a number of graphical artifacts and glitches in specific sections of the game. I got the game from Steam, it can also be acquired from the EA app. This is the game released in 2017 not the older game from 2005.
I'm using the most recent driver 32.0.101.6972 and my computer has never had any other gpu so it was a clean install when i got the gpu.
My computers specifications are
-HP Z4G4, motherboard 914285-001
-Intel Xeon W-2135
-2 sticks of 32GB ddr4 ECC ram
-HP power supply 1000 Watt, L202514-001
-Windows 10 Pro for Workstations, 10.0.19045 Build 19045
- Intel Arc A770
How to reproduce the graphical glitches, I will also provide video clips
Graphical glitch one
-When playing the game mode supremacy on the age of the republic you play through the match till one team or the other gets 100% and can attack the enemy teams ship. In certain areas the players and the surrounding materials will light up brightly at random in synchrony. This occurs most frequently on the republic ship defense in the smaller hangers next to either capture point. This also occurs some on the separatists ship defense in the hallways but i do not have video of that currently and only parts of the walls flash nothing else.
Graphical glitch/ Artifact two
-A in game cutscene plays during the transition to the ship combat mentioned earlier. During the cutscene the screen will rapidly blink multiple neon colors. This has occured in two of the games ages specifically the age of the republic and age of resistance in the supremacy game mode.
Graphical glitch three
-In the same areas that glitch one occurs in, parts of the screen will display blocks that are brighter than the surrounding area.
I did see another post that talked on glitch three but it did not seem to have a resolution to the problem. I did not find any posts on the other two glitches. I will also note that the game has no performance problems at all.

Hi Owen4,
To help isolate the issue, please disable DirectX 12 in your game settings, as the screenshot you provided indicates that it is currently enabled. This step will help determine if the problem persists. There is a known issue were enabling DirectX 12 with the B580 can lead to visual artifacts in games. I am actively working to resolve this issue with our B series and need to ascertain if it is related to this setting. For additional information, please refer to our article titled "Star Wars: Battlefront II* Visual Corruption with DirectX 12 on Intel® Arc™ B580"
Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi Owen4,
Thank you for the feedback. I checked your SSU and saw that the BIOS is not up to date. please try first to update to the version 02.95 Rev.A.
Additionally, please try performing Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU).
I would also like to inform you that I have identified a potential artifact issue that may be causing a bottleneck in the system, and I will be thoroughly investigating this matter to confirm the cause and ensure appropriate solutions are implemented to enhance performance.
If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.

I have updated my machines bios and that did not seem to affect the problem any. I also saw there was a driver update and saw there was a execute clean install option. I clicked that but it does not seem to have affected the problem either. I can also use DDU to be safe if you want.

I disabled the DirectX 12 setting and I have not seen glitch 3 with the blocks on screen show back up. Glitch one with the random switching between bright and dark also seems to have been fixed though it does seem a bit to bright. I have attached a picture of what it looks like now. Also I found another map where the glitch one was occurring but have not been able to get a match of it since switching off DirectX 12. When I get a match on the map, I'll tell you if its fixed there also.
With glitch 2, it has not shown up since I recorded it. I think that the recording software I was using, Microsoft Clipchamp, may have caused that specific problem.

Hey ArchieD!
I would like to also thank you for your information, switching to DX11 fixed the graphics artifacts for me!
Hopefully, the Arc driver team will be able to fix DX12 issue too.
Best regards,
Ákos

Switching that setting off has seemed to have resolved the glitches on the map I mentioned. Thanks for the help.
