So yesterday i got a copy of starfield and wanted to play it but seems like im not allowed to lol.
I can press start on steam and the game will be shown as running (it even draws like 60-80% of my cpu and 20+gb of ram) but there´s no task in the taskbar or anything else.
After reading a few forum posts i thaught this would be resolved but apparently it is not.
Curently using:
Intel i5 10600k
Intel Arc A770 LE
32 Gb Corsair memory
Gigabyte B460M AORUS PRO
Before you ask all my drivers are up to tate (except for the bios because the newest version is faulty) and i already reinstalled all the drivers via DDU.
This post is just to inform you that the problem still persists.

Hello everyone, miyagi90
Thank you for posting on the Intel® ARC™ Graphics Communities.
The issues with Starfield not launching should have been resolved starting with the driver version 31.0.101.4672. In this case, I would advise some steps to get rid of any possible corrupted files within the game or driver.
Please completely remove/uninstall the game from the system and reinstall it. After the game has been reinstalled use DDU to remove your current driver and update to the latest version 31.0.101.4824, if the issue still persists with driver 4824, please test driver 31.0.101.4672 to check for possible regression issues.

Hello @miyagi90
I wanted to follow up on this issue and ask if you were able to reinstall both the game and the driver. We are aware of crashing issues in Starfield during gameplay, however, the issue of Starfield not launching should have been resolved since driver 4672. Also, please note that there has been a new driver release version 31.0.101.4826 so we would advise updating to this latest version instead.

Hey Hugo so we meet again
Well i reinstelled both but the issue still occurs.
One Time i let it load for like one hour closed it and could start it half an hour later but it crashed before i finished creating a character.
so i think there´s no point in testing anything right now until the new driver and game update are released.
Like i said this post is just to inform you i will probably test the game in 6 months again and hope it will be playable.
Its not like bethesda would release polished games lol.

Make sure you don't have any custom settings for the game, in the arc control tool. I did manage to get the game running, though still randomly crashing but that's more a game issue. I set it to use the global settings and managed to get it going. though the experience in the game is running. it can range from 5 minutes to 10 minutes before it crashes to desktop.

Hello miyagi90
We still have a lot of room to cover for this game and we are putting a lot of effort into getting this issue resolved, we have received some reports of the same constant crashes in Starfield every 5-10 minutes of gameplay so we are working to get it resolved.
From what I see and based on your original post for now the game is at least starting on your system after reinstalling the game compared to before that the game did not even show up, correct? I understand you just wanted to inform us of the problem but we would appreciate it if you could confirm to us if the not starting issue is resolved since a fix was applied in driver 4672 for that one specifically.

Hello miyagi90
I just wanted to confirm from your previous posts that the game now seems to be launching on your system. We continue to work on improvements for crashes in performance issues on Starfield from reports we have received but we wanted to confirm whether the main issue you had when trying to launch the game is resolved.

Hello miyagi90
I see no further questions related to Starfield, as posted in our previous replies we are putting a lot of effort into fixing the crashing issue on this game, so we appreciate that you took the time to report issues as well as for your patience since we know this is a highly anticipated game and most users are expecting to be able to play it in the best possible conditions.
We will be closing this thread but feel free to open a new thread in case you need further assistance.

Hello everyone, @miyagi90
As informed in our previous post our latest driver 31.0.101.4887 contains important stability and performance improvements for Starfield as most of the crashing issues should have been resolved in the latest version. There is still room for more improvements and there are still some graphics glitches that we are working on.
We would like to get your feedback, let us know if the game still crashes from your side.
Best regards,
Hugo O.
