I've had a B580 for months and I noticed subtle artifacting around some UI elements. I finally decided to report it.
There are 2 most common issues:
- Stray pixels around the white dot on the left of server icons (screenshots 1 & 2)
- Artifacting around the blue progress bar when uploading files (screenshot 3)
Reproduction Steps:
- Hardware acceleration must be on (obviously)
- The app must be maximized
- The stray pixels next to the white dot appear during the "expand" & "contract" animation that plays when you hover over the server icon with your mouse
- To notice the arifacts around the blue progress bar it's best to upload a large file/have a slow internet so the upload animation last longer

Hi, djmrFunnyMan.
Thank you for posting in our Community and for providing detailed reproduction steps along with your SSU log. I understand how even subtle artifacting around UI elements can be distracting, and I appreciate you taking the time to document exactly when and where it appears in Discord.
Below are a few points and questions to help us isolate and address the issue:
- Which Discord desktop app version are you running? (Visit User Settings → About to confirm.)
- Does this artifacting occur every time you hover over a server icon, or only intermittently?
- Apart from uploading large files, do you see artifacting when performing other activities (e.g., scrolling through channels, opening settings)?
- Have you noticed similar visual glitches in other GPU-accelerated applications (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Slack) with hardware acceleration on? If yes, which applications and under what conditions?
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.

Hello, djmrFunnyMan.
Thank you for your response, and I appreciate the detailed information you've provided. First, I sincerely apologize for the incorrect name reference in our previous message. Thank you for pointing that out. That was an oversight on my part and has been noted.
Regarding the issue you're encountering, I’d like to highlight that we’ve recently released an updated Intel Graphics Driver: version 32.0.101.6876. Given the recurring nature of the artifacts you've reported, I strongly recommend updating to this latest driver version, as it includes critical fixes and optimizations that may directly address the behavior you're experiencing, particularly with apps like Discord when run outside of a browser. (Please ensure to uninstall the current driver before performing a clean install of the new version.) Once you've updated, please monitor the system and let me know if the issue persists. If it does, we’ll proceed with further investigation, including potential software conflicts.
Best regards,
Von M.

Updating to 32.0.101.6876 does not fix this issue
I would like to highlight that the issue I'm reporting here has been happening for a long while, and is unrelated to the recent severe regressions from version 32.0.101.6874

Hello, djmrFunnyMan.
Thank you for the clarification and for highlighting the persistence of the issue beyond the recent driver regressions. It's clear that this is a long-standing problem that predates the changes introduced in version 32.0.101.6874. Your feedback helps us distinguish between recent regressions and deeper-rooted issues that may require further investigation.
I will need to do further research on this matter and post the response on this thread once available.
Best regards,
Von M.

Hello djmrFunnyMan,
Thank you for your continued patience.
To summarize our findings, we conducted thorough testing using both an Intel B580 system and a third-party graphics card. We observed that the same issue with the server icons occurred in both configurations. This suggests that the issue is not specific to Intel hardware. Given this, we recommend reaching out to Discord’s technical support team for further assistance regarding this behavior.
As for the second issue you reported, we kindly suggest performing a clean installation of your graphics driver using the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) tool. Afterward, please install driver version 32.0.101.6881.
Best regards,
Von M.

I have ran DDU and the secondary issue was indeed resolved.
I understand the first issue is not specific to Intel hardware so I will report it to Discord. I would consider this thread resolved.

Hello djmrFunnyMan,
I'm pleased to hear that running DDU successfully resolved the secondary issue. I also appreciate your initiative in identifying that the primary concern lies outside of Intel hardware and your decision to report it to Discord directly. Thank you for taking the time to share your findings. Your input may prove valuable to other community members experiencing similar symptoms.
As the matter appears to be resolved, we will proceed to close this thread. Kindly note that once closed, this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel. Should you need further assistance in the future, please feel free to open a new discussion.
Best regards,
Von M.
