For a while now, maybe around a month, my laptop has been having terrible fps drops while playing games like Valorant or GTA V, that didn’t happen before, I’ve been checking online and there isn’t a clear answer as to how to fix this, already updated the drivers, reinstalled the games and all that, what could be causing this issues? For context, the games run good for a few minutes, then it starts underperforming

Hello there, Wtxvy.
FPS drops in games can be frustrating, especially when they occur suddenly. Since you've already updated drivers and reinstalled the games, here are a few more suggestions that might help resolve the issue:
1. Check for Overheating: Ensure your laptop is not overheating. Clean the fans and vents to provide better airflow, and consider using a cooling pad.
2. Background Processes: Close unnecessary background applications that may be consuming system resources.
3. Power Settings: Adjust your power settings for better performance. On your Huawei Matebook 13, you can click the battery icon and move the slider under Power mode to 'Best Performance' when plugged inhttps://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/content/en-us00697159/.
4. In-game Settings: Lower the in-game graphics settings and resolution to reduce the load on your GPU.
5. System Maintenance: Run a system check for any malware or viruses that could be affecting performance, and ensure your operating system is up to date.
If the problem persists, it could be a hardware issue, and you might want to consider getting your laptop checked by a professional. Additionally, some users have reported similar issues on forums, indicating that it might be a more widespread problem. It's also worth checking if there are any known issues with the latest game patches or updates that could be causing performance drops.
Cheers,
Max
