The frequency in the game drops

1. Good day to all, and again the same problem the video card drops the frequency and nothing works to make it go from 400 MHz to a higher one! in the game!!!, perhaps this is due to the fact that I raised the voltage and frequency, I could not accumulate sufficient statistics, but for now the fact is - when overclocking the video card (and this is a separate incomprehensible story since the settings do not respond to the card's operation at all, I am really tired trying to set up normal operation) so when overclocking this definitely happens - in the middle of the game process the frequency drops to 400 MHz and even attempts to adjust the graphics in the game do not help (earlier it randomly helped) and after 2 minutes, for example, it itself accelerated again or may not accelerate, the temperatures are normal, the fan is set to 100% at 70C degrees. A very crooked driver!!!!!! 2. and the frequencies are still displayed incorrectly!!! No matter how I set up the parameters, the frequency both in idle and in the game is 9.3 frames per second!!!!

I really wanted to support Intel in hard times! and for them to become a competitor to other vendors, but I have suffered so much that I want to get rid of this video card(((

Hi Raifart,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To assist us in investigating the issue, please provide the following details:

When did the issue start? Was it after a specific update?

Is the Resizable Bar enabled?

Have you used DDU to completely remove all residual drivers and installed a new one?

What game are you playing? Does this issue also happens on other games or application?

Could you provide a screenshot of your in-game display and graphics settings?

Which gaming platform did you use to download the game?

Additionally, to gain a comprehensive understanding of your system, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. You can follow the instructions at this link and send the text file here. Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility.

If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.

- this has been happening constantly since I bought the Video Card
- Resizable Bar - Enable!
- first after installing the card I installed the driver via DDU
later I reinstalled the system and everything is the same
- only Cyberpunk 2077 game, I haven't checked it in other games.
- I've attached screenshots, sometimes it helps if you disable tracing, go back to the game and enable it again... but it's obvious that the video card seems to be falling asleep, that is, it thinks that no 3D application is running
- I had an installer from gog.com
- I've attached an ssu report

Hi Raifart,

Thank you for the update. To isolate this, can you please check if the game is up to date?

I checked your SSU and see that the graphics driver installed is 32.0.101.6793. Please try updating it to 6874 and perform clean installation.

If possible, can you also try playing other games to see if the issue also happens on another games.

If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.

I updated the driver... and to the latest version .6876!
Okay, I'll keep an eye on it, but one more thing, tell me when the monitoring will start working properly, I've already written to tech support many times, they didn't give me any clear answers, only that it needs to be set up correctly, but no matter how I set up the frame rate display, IGS always displays incorrect readings in the form of 9-16 FPS? And recently I noticed that the system consumption is constantly growing, see the screenshot

Hi Raifart,

Thank you for the update. To understand that, can you please provide the monitoring in English language?

Please try playing other games to determine if the issue occurs with them as well.

Should you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Thank you.

here is monitoring with a sampling period of 250 ms - 3-4 fps
and with a sampling period of 50 ms - ~16 fps
with the game running the readings do not change!

Hi Raifart,

Thank you for the update. I would also like to obtain 3 CapFrameX log to thoroughly analyze the FPS performance. Kindly ensure that the game would run for a minimum of 2 minutes per record.

finally I managed to make a recording through CapFrameX
in this case I reproduced the situation when the video card in the game resets the frequency, but if you press the "WIN" button, the start opens and the frequency is restored to the desired one, and you can see in the background that the game works better!

Hi Raifart,

Thank you for providing the CapframeX. To resolve this, can you please try updating the graphics driver to 32.0.101.6881. Once done, please monitor if the issue still persists.

In line with this, please send us an updated SSU log and I would also like to obtain 3 CapFrameX log to thoroughly analyze the FPS performance. Kindly ensure that the game would run for a minimum of 2 minutes each.

Sorry, I don't have the opportunity to constantly reply to messages, I'm tired of struggling with finding options in which everything will work normally
I definitely understood two things:
1. the video card starts to reset the frequency at EVEN a small overclocking, literally 2900 MHz and 1,100 Volts
2. it resets the frequency as if it is a reaction to overload. but at the same time does not restore it back.

I don't understand, do I need to record three times in one game?

I always update the drivers as soon as I see this opportunity, but I'm sure that this has nothing to do with it!!!

I finally managed to catch the problem, at the end of this session a drop starts for ~3 minutes, this time I turned off all overclocking, and if I remember ray tracing, then there are no drops in the game at all

1. Thanks to Rivatuner I was finally able to see the fps.
2. But why does IGS display the readings incorrectly!?!?!
3. I got a little confused and tried to reduce frame rate drops by overclocking, but when overclocking the video card resets the frequency... and depending on the degree of overclocking it may or may not return the frequency during the game.
4. But!!! Without overclocking, as in the CapFrameX recording, the frequency does not reset, but the frames drop! At the same time, when I turned off tracing, there are no drops at all (but I already wrote about this)

here is the latest data.
when overclocking the video card, it actually drops the frequency for a while. then when exiting to the menu or to the desktop - it restores the frequency
