Unable to turn on variable refresh rate

Battery backup appears to be very poor on my Intel NUC X15 LAPAC71G

I see the refresh rate is defaulting to 144 hertz and I am unable to reduce that to basic like 60 hz, to improve on my battery backup time.

Also Unable to turn on variable/dynamic refresh rate as well.

Note: I have already tried multiple options, updated bios, drivers etc.,

Please find attached. Neither integrated graphics nor the dedictaed GPU is supporting custom/variable refresh rate. It is fixed to 144hz

The built-in laptop screen is a panel from the manufacturer BOE Technology with the type designation NV156FHM-N4G. According to the data that the graphics driver receives from the display (EDID), this panel does not support variable synchronization but only a single fixed resolution and refresh rate: 1080p @ 144 Hz.

To get the most out of the graphics hardware, you can connect an external monitor with VESA AdaptiveSync to the Thunderbolt port. With this cable, for example, you can send a DisplayPort HBR3 signal (also with DSC) from your LAPAC71G.

Its disappointing to hear that. Any alternate option?

My battery backup is hardly an hour or so even with normal browsing and usage. How to improve that?

Also when you say, that I can use the external monitor which accessory mentioned, how does that help? Can that improve on my battery back time.

Thanks

All my drivers are already up-to-date.

Used intel support utility/assistant to validate the same.

Hello wsuser,

Thank you for the quick reply.

Just to clarify, the main issue here is the weak performance of the battery?

Can you provide the screenshot of the power scheme of your system?

The power scheme option can be found at: Control Panel --> Power Options. The power scheme would include: Balanced, Power saver, High Performance or Ultimate Performance.

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
