Visual bug in Lies of P

I played through Lies of P and noticed a pretty weird graphical error that only occurs on Arc GPUs, I'm running a B570 personally, where the rain goes through the roof of any building when there's rain happening at all. I've also attached my SSU file I created for a previous issue I encountered as my setup has not changed apart from updating to the current drivers released today.

Hi, SKingBlue.

Thank you for posting in our Community and for reporting this visual anomaly in Lies of P and for taking the time to provide context regarding your system configuration and the SSU file. I appreciate your thoroughness and for bringing this Arc GPU-specific issue to our attention. Based on your description, it does appear to be a rendering bug that may be isolated to Arc graphics. I would like to know the following details:

  • Does the rain rendering issue occur consistently in all areas with roofs, or is it limited to specific locations or scenes?
  • Have you observed similar graphical issues in other titles, or does this only happen in Lies of P?
  • Have you tried to update your graphics driver B570 to the latest one (32.0.101.6790 (WHQL Certified))? If you have done any other tests, please let me know the details so we don't cover the same ground twice.

Have a nice day!

Hi let me answer these real quick

1. It happens everywhere where there's a roof whenever it rains
2. The only kind of similar issue is when running in DX11 Devil May Cry 5s lighting glitches out and is improperly bright for some sections
3. I have tried the latest drivers and even tried older ones but didn't do much beyond that as it was a minor problem

Side note on this, I found an old post on the forums about this same issue from a year or so ago that never got replied to so I'm guessing this has been an issue since launch and no one has brought it up since.

Hello, SKingBlue.

It appears the lighting artifact occurs consistently in rain scenarios under roofed areas, and may also be related to how certain games (like Devil May Cry 5 in DX11 mode) render lighting effects. I appreciate you testing with both the latest and older driver versions, and I understand why the issue was considered minor initially. The fact that you've identified a similar, previously unaddressed report on our forums is very helpful. This suggests the behavior might be a long-standing compatibility issue or an edge case within the game engine or driver handling under specific rendering conditions.

I’ve documented all your observations and will be conducting a further internal investigation on this issue. I’ll share an update in this thread as soon as more information becomes available.

Hello, SKingBlue.

To further investigate the issue thoroughly, could you please confirm where the game was obtained (e.g., Steam, Ubisoft, or Epic Games Store)? Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could share screenshots of the exact in-game settings used during gameplay.

This information will help me better understand the context and provide more accurate support.

To confirm, I'm playing the game on Steam and my graphics are on the Best preset but to be safe here are the exact settings. Changing them does not affect the bug at play though

Hello, SKingBlue.

Thank you for the clarification and for sharing your exact graphics settings. Noted that you're running the game via Steam on the Best preset, and that adjusting these settings does not impact the issue. This is helpful for narrowing down potential causes. I'll continue my investigation with this context in mind.

Appreciate your cooperation and continued support as we work through this.
