Body:
I'm considering building a new system using the Intel Arc B580 GPU, and I'm planning to pair it with the Intel Core i5-13400F.

Given that the i5-13400F is a mid-range CPU with a mix of performance and efficiency cores, would it be enough to keep up with the Arc B580 in most modern games at 1080p?

Hi pahari_shreejit,

Thank you for reaching out with your inquiry about pairing the Intel Arc B580 GPU with the Intel Core i5-13400F processor. I appreciate your interest in building a new system, and I'm here to provide you with the information you need to ensure optimal performance.

I'm pleased to inform you that the Intel Core i5-13400F processor fully supports the Intel Arc B580 GPU. This combination is well-suited for modern gaming at 1080p, leveraging the processor's mix of performance and efficiency cores to keep up with the demands of the Arc B580.

To achieve the best gaming and creation experience with Intel Arc B-Series Graphics, it's important to have a supported hardware configuration and correctly configured system BIOS settings. Here are some key points to consider:

Supported Hardware Configurations:

  • CPU: 13th Gen Intel® Core™ Processors, including your Intel Core i5-13400F
  • Motherboard: Intel 700/600 Series motherboard with Resizable BAR support enabled
  • Motherboard Requirements: Full-size PCI Express 3.0 (or newer) x16 slot, Resizable (Re-Size) BAR enabled
  • Power Supply: Minimum 600 W power rating with a PCIe 8-pin cable
  • Driver Installation: 5GB of available disk space for driver installation
  • Warranty: Warranty terms vary by manufacturer. For Intel® Arc™ B580 Limited Edition Graphics, Intel offers a three-year limited warranty for eligible graphics cards packaged in authentic Intel packaging. OEM systems are subject to OEM manufacturer warranties.
  • Resizable BAR: Must be enabled for optimal performance. If you cannot see the option, ensure 'Above 4G decoding' is enabled first.
  • Operating System Boot Mode: Ensure UEFI boot mode & GPT partition style are used. CSM must be disabled.

The Intel Arc B580 Graphics Card is built on Xe2 architecture to deliver immersive 1440p gaming, plus AI engines delivering 233 TOPS to execute cutting-edge AI workloads. Play many of the latest games at 60+ FPS in 1440p resolution. For more information, visit Intel Arc B-Series Overview.

I'm currently looking to buy the Intel ARC B580, but it's recently gone out of stock at most stores. The few that still have it in stock are now charging $349.
