Dragging the model is very laggy when using the ABAQUS interaction module, but the graphics card usage is not high, only 40%. RTX3070 does not lag in the same scene. I hope to fix this issue as soon as possible.

Hello leiyangfang,
I'm sorry to hear that you're facing issues with the Intel Arc B580 when using ABAQUS interaction module. To address this properly, please share the information below.
1. Was this working fine before?
2. Is the issue isolated to ABAQUS?
3. Is the ABAQUS software version up-to-date?
4. Are there any other applications running concurrently that might affect performance?
5. Is there any noticeable difference in performance when using different models or scenes?
6. Have you monitored CPU and RAM usage during the lag?
Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*
I hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,

Hello Jed G, I am glad to receive your reply. Next, I will answer your question.
1. Independent graphics cards and core displays run games and office software normally.
2.This issue should not be related to ABAQUS. The computer configurations of the people around are all Intel or AMD CPUs and Nvidia or AMD graphics cards. Although everyone's computer may experience a slight lag when using ABAQUS's interaction module compared to other modules, it does not affect usage at all. When using my model file to open the interaction module, the lowest frame rate is probably around 30 fps. When running the interaction module on my computer using the ARC graphics card, the frame rate reaches around 2 fps, which is completely unusable. There is a strange phenomenon that running this module with only a 265k kernel display is actually smoother than running it with only an ARC discrete display. So I think it's probably because the Intel graphics card driver and ABAQUS are not compatible enough. The graphics performance itself is not strong, and stuttering is normal. However, the ARC graphics card has stronger performance and even more stuttering. That should be a very serious situation of incompatibility.
3.Abaqus version is 2024, not the latest version. The 2025 version is the latest version, but it should not have significant differences from the 2024 version. Our work team uses the 2024 version more frequently and there are no people using the 2025 version.
4. No other programs are running, and there are no programs that affect the performance of the graphics card.
5. There are significant differences. Most of the usage scenarios in Abaqus are relatively smooth, but it becomes very laggy when using the interaction module.
6. The CPU and RAM were monitored while using the interaction module. The CPU usage is very low, only 10%, and the RAM usage is 30%, totaling 10GB, which is normal. The graphics card accounts for up to 50%.

The most important point in the problem is that the performance of ARC graphics card is much stronger than that of 265k core graphics card, but it performs much weaker than core graphics card in the interaction module of ABAQUS. It's so weird.

When in standby mode, the power consumption is 20W. When using the Abaqus interaction module to drag the model, the maximum power consumption is only over 30W, which may have caused the dragging model to lag due to the low power not being fully utilized.
