When plugged into the B580 HDMI port it only outputs 1080p ultrawide 60 Hz and if i put it to 100 or 120 Hz it drops to 1920x1080.
Is this an issue with my GPU? I've already made sure my monitor drivers were current on the MSI Website and i uninstalled and reinstalled my Intel Arc drivers. Issue not resolved.
I am yet to try a display port cable, but 1440p at 120hz should be supported by the HDMI port in the B580 right?
This is frustrating I've only had this card for a few months now.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

I tried several HDMI cables to no avail. I then lugged my PC to the living room and tried it on my 4k living room tv. My GPU has no issues outputting higher resolutions.
I then under recommendation from the r/intelarc community bought a displayport 2.1 cable and it fixed my issue.
For future reference the MSI MAG342CQR seems to have an issue where even with updated drivers the B580 does not want to recognize it as 1440p 144hz but only 1080p ultrawide 60hz.
On display port it runs as it should no issues at all.

Hi Barracuda,
Thank you for sharing this valuable information with us.
I'm pleased to hear that replacing the HDMI cable with a DisplayPort resolved the issue.
Additionally, if you review the link I provided for the Intel® Arc™ Graphics – Desktop Quick Start Guide, you'll find that DisplayPort supports higher pixel resolutions and refresh rates compared to HDMI.
Since the issue is now resolved, I will no longer monitor this thread.
If you require any further assistance, please submit a new inquiry, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Best regards,
Earl E.
