Glitches wile playing Euro Trucks Simulator 2

Hi,

I apologize if this isn’t the right place to report this kind of problem, but I don’t know what else to do. The game started acting strangely a few weeks ago, and reinstalling it doesn’t help—the problem persists.

There are no crashes either; I can keep playing the game for as long as I want. Also, nothing like this happens when I play other games, even heavier more demanding titles. There’s no overheating, no weird sounds from my computer, and no forced shutdowns.

I’m using a couple of mods, but none of them affect graphics, lighting, or weather. Most of my mods are from Steam Workshop. I’ve never had this kind of problem before on this computer, while playing ETS2 so I’m really confused.

The glitches range from weird textures appearing around the map and vehicles to giant, distorted structures visible on the horizon or while browsing the game’s menu** during gameplay. Shadows can also glitch occasionally, forming huge lines across the landscape, or becoming fixed around a specific point once they appear—stretching indefinitely or anchoring themselves to a random surface.

Any assistance would be appreciated, thank you.

PS: **(Not the main screen of the game.).

My pc specs:

GPU - Intel Arc B580
CPU - Intel 14600k
RAM - 16gb ddr5

Hello Jontaoja,

Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.

To assist you effectively, please share the information below.

1. Can you confirm if the issue is isolated to Euro Trucks Simulator 2?

2. Have you tried completely disabling all mods to see if the issue persists?

3. Does this happen on specific areas of the game?

4. Were you able to play the game without issues before?

5. What exact graphics settings are you using.

Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate a complete copy of the System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

I look forward to your response.

Hi,

1. No, it's not related to Euro Truck Simulator 2, but it seems to be related to SCS's engine, Prism3D. The same problem is happening to American Truck Simulator, the exact same thing. It's not happening to other games though, from varied genres, sizes and specifications.

I will give a small list of games I've been playing at the moment, without any problems/issues:

Abiotic Factor
Automobilista 2
Assetto Corsa Rally
Heartopia
Pes 2021
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
Deadlock

2. Yes, I disabled mods, returned configurations to their default settings and even reinstalled Euro Truck Simulator to no avail. American Truck was a fresh install.

3. No, it will go without any problems for random periods of time (Couple of seconds to several minutes) and then something will happen. Rain seems to trigger the problems more often, but they can and will happen at any time during gameplay. It's not only outside the truck, but in the menus, mirrors and GPS and dashboard screens inside the truck as well.

4. Yeah, I think I've been playing ETS2 without any issues since patch 1.56 when I got the B580 for my new computer. So several months ago, give or take?

5. Near the maximum settings, but I tried to follow guides and recommendations, even default graphics settings and the problem persists. I have no problems playing with everything cranked up to 11 by the way, the game runs just fine. The B580 is a beast.

Just to add, I've upgraded my build with more RAM, I had 16gb and now I have 32gb. I'm saying that to avoid confusion since I stated I had 16gb on the ticket. The upgrade is not related to the issue at all.

I have attached the SSU as requested. I have videos too, I don't know if that would help.

Hello I am experiencing the exact same issue as you. The newest driver update (Version  32.0.101.8425) causes severe artifacting in Euro Truck Simulator 2. Rolling back to a slightly older driver version (32.0.101.8242 in my case) fixes this issue completely. Here's are videos of my experience

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v224oj2StLI

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFIeuuzqQqY

I tried reinstalling the newest drivers with DDU in safe mode, playing around with the settings in the game to see if any setting in specific is causing this, I even went as far as to reinstalling Windows 11 through USB. None of these worked.

It's comforting knowing I'm not alone in this issue and it's likely the newest drivers do no like Euro Truck Simulator 2. I thought my card was going bad All other games I play perform perfectly fine to be clear.

Yes, that's my exact problem! There are variations to the artifacting and glitches, but that's basically it. It's indeed comforting knowing I'm not alone, I've been going paranoid thinking it was the hardware. Sometimes it will go bonkers like in the videos, sometimes it will be limited to the side mirrors and sometimes only a few flashes while I'm browsing the game's menu.

Yeah I get the same thing with it being isolated in the side mirrors as well. I hope Intel can prioritize fixing this as it makes the game completely unplayable when you have the latest driver version (32.0.101.8425) installed.

Just to update the topic, I did the same thing @Save1 did and rolled back to a previous driver version (32.0.101.8250) and the glitches are gone in ETS2, I didn't test ATS yet. I tried a different version first (32.0.101.8331), but it still had the same problems.

32.0.101.8425 (1/20/2026) - Lots of problems
32.0.101.8331 (12/3/2025) - Same problems, but not at the same scale and frequency
32.0.101.8250  (11/12/2025) - No problems at all

Once again, thank you @Save1. I guess now it's just a matter of waiting for Intel to do their magic and cook a fix for the problem.

The artifacting is still happening on the newest drivers released yesterday on Jan 26th 2026 (Driver Version: 32.0.101.8425 and 32.0.101.8362 WHQL)

I will upload my SSU here as well.

So this issue is affecting drivers 32.0.101.8250 and later it seems. There are also a few other people saying they're experiencing the same issue as I and Jontaoja on this Reddit post:

For good measure here's 1 more video of my issue as well as my graphics settings if anyone testing wishes to copy them

It might just be my personal experience, but I’m currently using 32.0.101.8250, and the glitches have stopped completely. I can play ETS and ATS, and no matter my graphics settings, everything runs perfectly. Any drivers released after the one I’m using seem to trigger problems. I haven’t tried the newest driver yet, and I don’t think I will, knowing it doesn’t work as intended.

Apologies I mistyped, drivers released after 32.0.101.8250 are affected by this glitch that's right.

Hello Jontaoja,

Thank you for sharing all this information with me. Please be informed that we can only accommodate one game per thread. This allows us to provide more focused and effective troubleshooting.

Kindly let me know which game you would like us to prioritize in this thread, and please share a screenshot of the exact game settings you are using so we can attempt to replicate the issue in our test lab.

I look forward to your response.

I also appreciate the information that you shared @Save1, thank you!

Jontaoja can decide which game as it's his thread of course, but if he decides Euro Truck Simulator 2 I'd like to make some keynotes with the latest driver version (Driver Version: 32.0.101.8425 and 32.0.101.8362 WHQL)

• I recommend playing for at least 3 hours as sometimes, at least with my specific settings I shared above, it can take anywhere from under 10 minutes to 30 minutes before artifacting starts appearing

• When you start your career profile I recommend picking the garage in Liège so you start the tutorial in a truck there, then drive to Berlin by driving past the cities of Duisburg, Düsseldorf and Hanover as lots of objects/buildings render in those cities, which may increase the chance of the artifacting to occur.

Remember to fill up at the closest fuel station on the map first as tutorial trucks will probably start out at low fuel.

-OR-

If you are able to purchase the Nordic Horizons DLC, I recommend picking the Kristiansund garage and driving through Norway up to Tromsø as northern Norway is (probably) the most graphically intensive part of the map in Euro Truck Sim 2.

Save1_1-1769596104707.png

• You need to keep driving to different areas of the map as it seems new objects, terrain, and buildings loading in is what causes this. As you drive past areas affected by the artifacting, you will see it in your truck mirrors and then will stop temporarily for the next 1 - 10 minutes as you continue driving on.

• It's best to change your FOV to 80 or 90 as well just to make more things render on the screen. You can do this by pressing 4, click on adjust seats, click on FOV and adjust the slider at the bottom of the screen. (same applies to American Truck Sim)

Hope this helps!

Hi,

No, it will be Euro Truck Simulator 2. I haven't made any updates do my drivers yet thanks to you reports, I see no point yet if the updates didn't resolve any of the issues we mentioned in the thread. Also, I'm sharing my graphics setting as requested by @JedG_Intel but please bear in mind that I'm using driver version 32.0.101.8250 and not the newest version avaliable. I solved my problems once I rolled back to a previous version.

Hello, I decided to wait until the next driver update before I posted a new thread about this as you seem to have this issue under your radar anyways, but today I updated to the newest driver version (32.0.101.8509 WHQL) and I've had no issues with artifacting in Euro Truck Simulator after playing for a couple of hours, the game seems to perform just fine.

@Jontaoja Try updating to the latest drivers and see if the issue is fixed for you too. What I did was I installed the newest drivers using the Intel Grahpics Software > restarted my PC > before I launched any game I installed DDU and booted into safe mode > ran DDU and only cleared my shader cache with it > restarted my PC again and launched Euro Truck Simulator.

Personally I just wanted to ensure I had a clean shader cache before testing if it has been fixed, which it seems it has!

Hey,

Holy **bleep**, yes. You're a lifesaver @Save1. I can't thank you enough for all the assistance because it seems my game is running fine now with the latest drivers. Now we call be truckers in peace, at least for the time being. Thank you @JedG_Intel for taking the matter seriously. I don't know if the next step for the post is to close it, but the problem is solved. No more glitches in Euro Truck Simulator 2 since the last driver update. (32.0.101.8509)
