I bought an Intel Arc 580 from a rtx2060 6gb, the problem is that I have 5600g* .

Will the cpu get bottlenecked to the point It gets annoying or it will be a fine upgrade which in the future I can upgrade my cpu to just get better perfomarnce for an extra. I am running game like Valves deadlock, Arc raiders, The finals and some single players time to time.

*Because of the lower L3 cache size

...that a nice setup man. Jumping from an RTX 2060 to an Arc A580 is a decent upgrade, especially for newer DX12 and Vulkan games. But you’re right about the Ryzen 5 5600G maybe holding things back a bit, that smaller L3 cache means it’s not quite as punchy as a 5600X or newer Intel chips. That said.. it’s not gonna ruin your experience or anything. You’ll still get good frames in stuff like The Finals, Arc Raiders, Deadlock, and most single-player games. Maybe a few dips here and there in CPU-heavy spots, but overall it’ll play just fine, especially if you’re gaming at 1080p or 1440p.

Honestly, it’s a smart move grab the GPU now, enjoy the upgrade, and later on when you swap in a beefier CPU, that A580’s gonna stretch its legs even more.

Hey thanks for the answer, I ended up getting an arc B580 because of its very cheap price at 220 euro, does the same stand?

..nice pick-up! At €220, that’s actually a pretty sweet deal for the Arc A580 solid value for the performance you’re getting. And yep, everything I mentioned before still stands. The Ryzen 5 5600G might bottleneck the card a little bit in some CPU-heavy titles, but it won’t be anything game-breaking or annoying. You’ll still see a nice boost over the RTX 2060, especially in modern DX12 and Vulkan games. Down the line, if you decide to drop in a stronger CPU (like a 5600X or 5800X3D), the A580 (is this the exact gpu you have? A580 or B580?) will scale up nicely and you’ll get even better, smoother performance. Just make sure Resizable BAR is enabled in your BIOS, Arc GPUs really depend on it to perform their best. Solid move overall, man.

I got the ARC B580 and surely will upgrade in the future, but 5600g is what I have now and I was worried ;p. I thankfully have Rebar so lets hope it will be be ok until I upgrade. Thanks for your feedback again!

yeah yeah yeah, you’re absolutely right to be mindful of potential bottlenecks, but as mentioned by @Bruceee31 , your Ryzen 5 5600G should still handle the card quite well, especially for titles optimized for DirectX 12 and Vulkan. The smaller L3 cache might introduce some performance variation in CPU-intensive games, but it shouldn’t make the experience unpleasant or unplayable.

its a good move you enabled Resizable BAR that’s one of the key optimizations for Intel Arc GPUs to achieve optimal performance. If you ever plan on upgrading your CPU in the future (for example, to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D or a newer Intel Core processor), your Arc B580 will definitely benefit and deliver even smoother performance across the board.
