About Anti-Spoofing Under Static IP

Hi, All

I have some question about Anti-Spoofing under static IP mode on AMT device.

1. Is anti-spoofing filter able to work under static IP mode?

2. Is there any way to manual createan equivalent profile to implement the anti-spoofing under static IP mode? I have tried some combination but failed.

Thanks a lot.

Hi and thanks for this great question,

The answer to is probably no to both questions. First, for anti-spoofing to work, Intel AMT must know the IP address of the OS and it does not in static mode. Also, since in static IP address mode, Intel AMT makes use of a completely seperate MAC address, it's not really monitoring what the OS is doing anymore.

It's also no on the second question. I know the Intel AMT SDK pretty well and I know of no calls to set the OS address that would normally be used for anti-spoofing.

If you have a really good usage for it, please let us know. I am sure my Intel peers would like to hear from you.
